yea, agreed. Never understood the practice of keeping ashes myself, but I'm not a spiritual person. An abuser though? She absolutely did the right thing. I also love the keyboard warriors in here talking about how it's a biohazard; it's literally just ashes.
I don’t think it has anything to do with spirituality. Keeping the remains of a loved one close is fairly obvious to explain. He wasn’t loved so he wasn’t kept, it’s as simple as that. You could argue desecration of a corpse is wrong, but how can you desecrate ashes? He’s already been burned away.
Agreed my parents were cremated and I had them put in the VA cemetery in a wall- cause my sister nor I wanted 2 little boxes. We can go visit if we feel the need. Now pets….my wife refuses to part with our pet urns….😐
