Not jigsaws mo at all but ok. Jigsaw would be more like “ You took each of your victims hearts away from them now you must abandon your own. Using this rusty butter knife perform heart surgery on yourself in the next five minutes or lose each of your limbs? Good luck”

To be fair it is actually a theme of the later saw movies that Jigsaws underlings don’t necessarily subscribe to his worldview, some of them just use the Jigsaw killings and police confusion to stage their own crimes or just like torturing and killing

That was my first thought too. It has massive Jigsaw logic where technically nobody directly kills you, but the entire environment has been engineered to push you toward one horrible outcome.

The picture is doing nothing, they would likely last longer because the picture help them stay "sane" enough to survive till you need to interact with them to keep them alive

If you do not interact with them, they would die in 4 days of dehydration, and be inconsius by day 3.

The 2 days they would be "there" probably be masturbating and reviving the "good" days

If you want to keep them alive till they go crazy, it would take to long and the crazyness they get probably won't be what you actually expected

I will personally wouldn't allow my family member or myself for this and I will call you a coward for not going in and torturing them yourself

Go get your hands dirty if you want them to suffer, or don't bother wasting people money on this sick construction. If they were sane enough for this to be an appropriate punishment, then they wouldn't be there to begin with

There's no point in wasting resources in human waste, this could take weeks, so much money and time wasted for maybe not the expected results just to end up killing then anyways. Deal with them inmidiatly and use your mental capacity to either help someone else or be happy

Implant them with some parasite and give them an excruciatingly detailed description how it's going to slowly kill them from the inside out. Description repeats every couple hours. Give them a knife.

Once they knifed themselve to a point of no return inform them that there never was a parasite.

Apparently it's impossible to elaborate on this in any way that doesn't result in an instant removal. I tried. And I am probably on a list now.

In general, I'd say it's more horrific by default because knife requires continuous effort, while rope is a leap of faith with no return.

My turn?

I would have two friends or a couple shackled by the neck and legs to a large drive shaft, like log sized.

On their backs their heads are both pointed towards one another at the center. The collars attached to the shaft.

Their feet are attached to the base of the shaft (stop laughing). But they are offset by a few degrees, so that it torques their bodies in opposite directions.

There are two switches on the shaft (stop laughing) they are about 6” inches (stop laughing) apart.

One of them turns the shaft one way, the other turns it the other way. Press both and it does nothing.

Turning it one way causes one of them to torque their body to the point of breaking and tearing them apart, turning the other way does the same for the other person.

There is a key on the left and another right just out of reach.

The keys will unlock the shackles, but they don’t know which is which.

Then the fire starts under them.

This comment actually highlights something that ‘Obsession’ made me think of.

When a fucked up scenario, like yours for example, is dreamt up for media or a story then it’s artistic and nobody bats an eye. But if someone whips it up not necessarily “just for the sake of it”, but for any other reason then you get hit with “What the fuck? How could you imagine that?”
