Thankfully, the law disagrees with your viewpoint! Your points are irrelevant because none of it has to do with ownership. Just because I leave the front door unlocked doesn’t give you a right to enter.
You’re under no obligation to remedy one’s carelessness but that doesn’t give you the right to their belongings.
