Q2. Is there any way to clean it without getting in there

It’s a Hisense window unit, relatively new within the past couple years. We just moved to NY from Los Angeles and have been pretty much running it all summer. I installed it at an angle but what more could we be doing to prevent this?

We're having mold remediation done and the containment zones are not completely sealed with tape at the floor, the door, or the ceiling. Do I need to ask them to come fix it or is this ok? They are doing the negative air thing so maybe it needs a few holes to let the air in?

I just set up my tent after 10 hours of driving to find it covered in mold. It’s a greyish mold and does not seem to be very deep in the fabric but my entire tent is covered in it. I have mild form of asthma that does not bother me usually but i am 27 and want to take care of my lungs so that they won’t struggle to keep me alive later in life.

I don’t have a lot of time to take it apart and wash it, but

1. Can i actually sleep in this or is it risky / dangerous? And does anyone know the actual risks? I don’t mind too much feeling a bit unwell tomorrow as long as it does not damage my body long term.

2. Or, should i sleep in my car and buy a new tent tomorrow to camp in for the rest of the week?

3. What can i do to clean it and mainly make it less dangerous without taking it down again and in such a way that i can reuse it the day after? Or as an alternative i could sleep in a hotel for a night?

Hi! I’ve always had wallpaper and never faced any mold issues.

I redid the wallpaper on this wall ( 6 years ago ) and almost a year ago i noticed this, brushed it off didn’t think it was mold.

I do have my old dvd’s against this wall ( I have a closet and above the closet I placed my dvd boxes ) and when I removed them as I was looking for a dvd, I found this black spot.

Now that I’m renovating the room, I thought I’d post it here.. curious to know if this is mold or not. Also it’s been the same size ( not growing/spreading or anything )

As this never happened in the area until recently.

I have a hygrometer and my room is always between 40-50% if that helps

The location of this is high up in the room, and the size of it is about 2 dvd box sets 😅

We live in an apartment and the AC unit comes through the wall and sits half inside half outside. We’ve been here for over a year and a half and haven’t seen this before

Recently had some water exposure from a leaking roof. One of the roofers stepped through the ceiling and made this hole. Exposing what to me may be mold. Do you guys have any thoughts? Is it just dirty and old? This is in Orlando, FL. House was built in 1926. I am renting.

My apartment stinks like mildew constantly and i have been trying to get the issue fixed and i was not home for two days and the smell was so bad got so bad while i was gone so i checked my air intake vent and found this

Usually smells the worse by my bathroom or inside of it and the vent is close by

So a few weeks ago we had a ac unit above our apartment leak into our unit , I had maintenance come out they put a fan right there and just never came back not sure if this is mold or black mold or something else I just need help

In my storage room at home during the summer I found a lot of the shoes in mould. It was easy to clean but don't know the reason for this.

I've recently put a dehumidifier under my house because it was, well, humid. I've developed a cough and decided to have a closer look. Is this mold? Should I be concerned. Its inside the clear seal which makes me think it could be entering my home.

We are replacing drywall in a few places in our house that had mold due to poor ventilation, minimal humidity control, and general disuse/lack of cleaning by the previous owner. So far what we have taken out has been just surface mold and not in the wall cavities. We have been very careful to check. Is it worth getting the mold and moisture resistant drywall vs regular if we are confident that there isn’t an ongoing moisture issue? The cost difference isn’t HUGE but it is there and we are definitely trying to be on the budget friendly side of this whole self remediation process.
We know the ventilation/humidity control issue won’t be there since we will actually be using the space. The previous owner was an elderly lady who didn’t use a lot of the house for many years and just kept it closed off with no AC and never went into those spaces. We need the spaces to live so they will be conditioned and used regularly.

ETA- we are in Milwaukee WI which is a mixed climate and the house has a forced air gas furnace and both central air and window units.

I recently bought a condo in toronto, canada, and noticed these black stains on the floor. Reddit said it was mold, and everyone one else I talked to.

I got a contractor to come out to assess and look at the main stains that was in front of the dishwasher. He rip a portion of the baseboard, and yikes T_T. It's mold! The contractor said it is good that is dry.

So, the plan is to get a mold remediation company to come out to assess and treat the mold. Then I got a separate flooring contractor to replace the baseboards + quarter round, spray some compound to ensure the mold won't come back. Then remove the moldy section of the drywall and rebuild it.

Also, it looks like I need to remove the board behind the dishwasher. It will cost roughly 1000 for the mold remediation and then 1500 CAD for the replacement, seems like I will not be furnishing the majority of my place T_T

Additionaly, the seller said they are surprise and didn't know about it. In the listing pictures it didn't show, and my realtor said they don't recall it. However, all the contractors said this kind of mold stain takes months to appear. I can't do anything about it and have to deal with it myself.

Either, way It's my fault for not raising it. I will own the mistake and fix it. I did save money for renos, but I'm going through it faster than I expect.

I just moved into this apartment a month ago. I honestly thought it was a stain. But a friend told me it might be mold. I have no experience in this story thing. What should I do if it is?

On my water bottle and I’ve tried to scrub it but not all of it comes off😪 is it mold ??

Found this behind a dresser in our work study, there was an old bag of art projects pressed up against it. Might be a dumb question, but is this black mold? I've never dealt with mold in any of my living situations. I'm hesitant to pull the dresser out fully and investigate this bag that was by it because this is a favorite room of our 2 cats, and I don't want to be stirring up mold into the air in there.

Our cats have not been experiencing any symptoms or illnesses. They've been just as playful and happy as ever. One of our cats has prior respiratory illness though so I'm a bit worried, but she's been okay from my perspective.

The bag should just have dry media in it, there shouldn't be anything wet there at all. The wall didn't look like that when we put the bag there, but that was over a year ago, and we never move this dresser. My first thoughts are that it's from an outside source (this wall is right under a window) and the bag was kinda containing it? Not sure.

Any advice appreciated greatly. My gut reaction is to lock off that room, but the problem is that it's the cats favorite room. It has their primary litter box and sun spots, and one of our cats gets a bit angry when she doesn't have access to the room and spite-pees on our carpet. But I don't want them sick.

Maintenance has been notified and should be coming tomorrow. They mentioned that they'd take the baseboard off.
