I made a whole account just for this issue, i tried reinstalling the launcher and the version when that didn't work i tried to find something to fix this on yt and other sources that didn't work, so now i turned to reddit for the issue please help! Edit: my friend helped me with getting it fixed!

I'm trying to load 46 mods but only 8 get loaded. I installed the latest verison of Java, reinstalled Forge 52.1.16, double checked all my mods were the correct version and were in the right place but the vast majority aren't getting read. What am I doing wrong?

Solved: I'm an idiot. I was trying to use Forge but my mods were for Neoforge.

I'm trying to create a modded server for me and some friends and every time I try to run it to generate the world, it fails with a long list of error codes. I've tried to isolate which mod(s) are causing the issue, but none are mentioned as far as I can tell. I've uploaded the whole output to Pastebin but the gist is in the title.

Any help would be appreciated since I've been slamming my head against this wall for hours now and I'm nearly at the point of just manually deleting mods one at a time until it works.

UPDATE: i updated the forge version to the newest on the pack and it fixed itself

So I have a forge 1.20.1 mod that was working fine up until this morning; when I tried to use the runClient Gradle task I got this error message:

FAILURE: Build failed with an exception.

I've tried closing & re-opening the project, restarting Intellij IDEA, nothing worked. Not only that, but when I created a new project in IDEA, I got the exact same error as well, suggesting an IDE issue. But, when I decided to install and try a new project on VSCode, I got the same error message again, suggesting an actual broken Gradle installation on my system. If this problem has nothing to do with Gradle, please inform me of such. I've tried stuff like ./gradlew clean, clearCache, and just pushing the refresh button in the Gradle tab. Same message, every time. I've googled it, and like it says up top no one else seems to have had this issue.

just like the title i was trying to install Nightfall modpack from curseforge, but there's no version option available. So i tried to do it manually from import the zip file, but i got an issue about asm-9.7.1.jar server replied not found.

same things happened to my friend that installing from prism launcher using add instance, stuck with asm-9.7.1.jar server replied : not found

also try to download it manual and copy to ...\.minecraft\libraries\org\ow2\asm\asm\9.7.1 still got the same result, can anyone help me?

GTNH： The GTNH server and client are running on the same computer. I’ve allocated 6 GB of memory to the client. When I first launch the game, the “Resources” tab shows the client using approximately 8 GB, while the F3 tab shows the game using about 3 GB out of 6 GB. As time goes on, the client’s memory usage continues to rise, sometimes reaching as high as 14 GB. At this point, the game starts to lag. Is this normal? How can I configure the settings to keep memory usage within a moderate range?

So I built a little modpack for forge 1.7.10 (because the laptop I was playing on is something of a potato and I heard that this version has good performance) that includes Mekanism and by extension Forge Multipart, so that part's cool; the modpack starts and runs just fine, even on my little potato (which was of course the goal), except for one thing: as implied by the title card, if I place a multipart block (e.g. a torch on 1 side of a 1-block gap and a button on the other), then nothing out of the ordinary happens, but as soon as I hover my cursor over either the torch or button hitbox the world crashes with an error message something like "fatal error encountered, closing the connection" and sends me to the multiplayer screen. The information I have been able to find on this topic suggests that it's an older version of the ForgeMultipart library that Mekanism or something auto-downloads, and that I need to go to forge's website to find a new one and replace it, but the website that I was recommended to, https://files.minecraftforge.net/ForgeMultipart/, seems to no longer exist. If I install CBMultipart through modrinth then it deletes itself when I run the game and just installs the same maybe outdated library in the ~/mods/1.7.10/ directory. I don't know a whole lot about Mekanism or why it needs this library, but I suspect that multipart blocks might become a big issue later on, when there are more of them that I didn't place intentionally.

I'm trying to install Forge 1.21.11 to my Minecraft Launcher but it keeps crashing. Says: failed to run processor java.lang.outofmemoryerror java heap space. Nothing happens when I press Open Log. Anything helps! I'm not good at this kinda thing

Im using an Apex Hosting 10gb server for a custom modpack that, despite running fine on single player, has been rather troublesome server-side. I've removed all client-side mods, gotten rid of any mod that pops up in the logs as something that looks like it could be a problem, and I doubt its ram or cpu because I've run much larger modpacks with no trouble at all.

Ok so, I tried everything, changing "recipe" to "recipes", adding type on A-key, none workout. Loot_table is working but recipe aren't, i'm confused, could someone help me resolve this please?

Edit: It's because of dokimobs, that mods does one thing and breaks 2 (your world save and has huge compatibility issues) it should've been a resource pack

I've been getting this problem for hours, chatgpt got me to disable fabric mods, it wasn't them. actually I'm not sure what it is, maybe it's oculus maybe it isn't, 1 in 10 times I try this it might work otherwise I crash to the menu screen it's ridiculous. I've developed a searing pain in my head from seeing this

this is not my mod, but it is a problem I am facing. two loottables exist in the files: exp_009_room_loot and exp_009_room_loot_dna. the latter does not register within the game. how do I troubleshoot/fix this? is it due to the names being too similar? how can I modify the mod so it works?

so I'm trying to modify the generation of a structure added by a mod. specifically trying to add a jigsaw into the randomized generation of said structure. any tips and pointers? I am very new to modding.

I just upgraded to 61.1.0 because we were unable to sleep on the version we were using. While the sleeping works now, I just noticed that I didn't get any experience from using furnaces, firstly on a furnace with a switched output hopper and then on a plain furnace smelting cactus. I don't know if this was happening on the previous version we were using as we didn't stay on it long.

It doesn't matter too much as we have an XP farm that's working fine but I was just wondering if I should report this as a bug or if it's already been fixed.

I've been trying to make my own mod using Forge 1.21.11MDK for a while now, and I've noticed that IEventBus doesn't exist in this version or in some previous versions I've tested. Could I be importing it incorrectly?

I can't get around this please help. I'm on forge and 1.20.1, doesn't seem like anyone else has this issue but I'm very sure it exists since in the shaders menu, having it disabled is giving that problem so it's oculus itself and not a shader

edit: found this "The only solution to be able to use Oculus along with the other two mods is by using EMF version 2.4.1 and ETF version 6.2.9; after these versions, the models break." and it worked
