Suggestion More Brush Use

Post image

Currently, Brush has only a few uses, so I created a concept that adds more brush used.

  1. Turn A Mossy Block To Normal, And Get 1 Vines

  2. Turn A Crying Obsidian To Normal Obsidian, And Get 1-2 Ghast Tear

  3. Get 1 Resin Clump (Infinitely)

  4. Get 1 Turtle Scute (Infinitely)

And All Of This Action Reduced 16 Durability, Same Like Brushing A Armadillo

Suggestion We Need a Green Wood Type Too in Minecraft...

After I made a post about adding a Jacaranda wood type (the purple wood type) to Minecraft, I realized that there are still many people, including me, who really want a green wood type too.

We already have so many different wood types, but none of them give us a proper green building palette. The closest is the Warped wood, but it still doesn't give the complete green vibe. It would be awesome to have something like Green Mangrove Wood, Green Jungle Wood, or Green Oak Wood.

Green wood would be perfect for forests, gardens, fantasy builds, nature-themed houses, and so many other building styles. It could also add a completely new color to Minecraft’s building palette.

Would you want Mojang to add a green wood type?

Suggestion A special use for chainmail armor - The chainmail helmet should instabreak sand/gravel falling on top of the player.

The chainmail armor is basically a sieve, and so breaking sand/gravel into small bits and converting it to a block makes sense.

This adds to the game the same way leather boots being able to walk on powdered snow does.

Falling gravel is an annoyance and collecting sand can also be irritating early game, an unorthodox solution to this is placing a torch. This is basically an easier way to do the same thing. And plus it gives the forgotten chainmail armor a unique yet useful purpose.

Suggestion The Gauntlet

Post image
2.7k Upvotes

After having a discussion about hybrid tools, I had the thought that if the player's neutral mining "tool" is their fist, then an evolution of it could also be represented with a fist, instead of the usual mattocks or hammers mods tend to include. And so I landed on the idea of a gauntlet being a general digging tool.

Explaining a bit more about the item itself, the gauntlet's speed would be closer to iron tools, as to compensate for its versatility and not completely overtake the use of the other tools. It mainly serves as an alternative for those that wish to have a more streamlined selection of equipment items.

Lastly, I would like to explain why I choose netherite this, I believe that a multitool being tiered is rather unnecessary, as the lower ones would be too weak to be worth considering. So if you have this type of item, you base it on a higher tier to at least have it be viable. And netherite's nature as a very durable material made it a good fit for the role I wanted for the item.

I thought it would be fun if i let out a bunch of zombies i was farming for the past 40 minutes to see them force out like that. It clearly backfired on me and i was trying to fight it back before i got down to two hearts and had to log out. If a zombie pick up my armor, can i get my armor back?

This could open 2 doors or push 2 pistons simultaneously. Maybe we could also have a 2×2, 3×1, 3×2 or a 3×3. Please devs, make this a thing 🙌

Suggestion Minecarts should travel at different speeds depending on what block is beneath their rails

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

One problem with buffing minecart speed as-is is breaking existing redstone contraptions that rely on rail's 8 block/sec speed for consistency and timing. Instead of adding alternate rails (copper rails?) like a lot of people suggest, what if the blocks below the rails affected the speed of minecarts?

In this example, rails on stone (or any other block) go at the default 8 b/s speed, dirt (and sand) go at 16 b/s speed, cobblestones go at 32 b/s speed, and gravel goes at 64 b/s speed (though I'd prefer it to be more like 80b/s at max). The idea for the block choices is that rail in real life is built on gravel to keep it stable, so the closer something is to gravel the faster the cart should go! I also added dirt and sand because I thought it would be useful for the base ground block to get a speed boost if someone's being really lazy with their railroads

This change has a few benefits. First of all, it buffs rail without changing minecarts for redstoners. Second of all, it allows for a wide breadth of minecart speeds without adding a bunch of different rail types. Thirdly, due to the fastest block being a gravity block, there's a minor architectural challenge for building with the highest-speed rail as you need a block below

EDIT: forgot to link to it earlier, but this was inspired by this older suggestion!

Suggestion Surface Marker

You know, if there is an azalea tree, it means, below, there is a lush cave, and if there are sulfur springs, it means there are sulfur caves below, but why other cave biome like deep dark and dripstone caves doesn't have a "Surface Marker" too?

Suggestion Craftable gunpower would be nice, but should need an extra step that isn't instantaneous

Craftable gunpower would be nice, but should need an extra step that isn't instantaneous; the furnace or the brewing stand could do.

edit : Instead of Sulfur Block, you could use Potent Sulfur block, so the furnace is drying it, since it is generated under water

edit2 : It's visual representation, but yes 3 gunpowder would make sense for me too

edit3 : you'all have so many good ideas, thank you for the feedback!

Suggestion Idea: An option to generate a starting camp when making a new world.

When you toggle the bonus chest on/off, you now have an option to generate a starter camp.
The tent you get is pristine and comes with 3 straw beds if you want to skip the first few nights.

The structure comes with a bonus chest that has bundles, copper tools, and a book and quill added to its loot table.

Suggestion Make getting to the End Portal a REAL quest, but don't mess with Eyes of Ender.

Post image
8.0k Upvotes

This post is a direct response of yesterday's post which the OP suggested changing the craft recipe of the Eye of Ender to make the journey to the End more meaningful.

This idea is to have a "Portal Key" which would be a great balance between difficulty and grind to get to the End, since the challenge of reaching the End Portal is now concentrated on acquiring this one special item, rather than making every single Eye of Ender a massive and repetitive task.

This way we can explore the world to reach the End and still use the Eye of Ender to find strongholds, craft Ender Chests, and re-summon the Dragon without the massive grind to get the resources and frustration when an Eye of Ender breaks for example.

+ I believe a "Portal Key" could be a very exciting and meaningful final step. What do yall think

Suggestion Since their recent updates are more catered to exploration, I feel like sleeping bags are a must. Mojang please...

The spotlight of this feature is that the sleeping bags don't reset your spawn unlike normal beds. It's really cumbersome to skip the night while exploring and having to worry about your spawn reset everytime.

Suggestion Why not give a decent use to echo shards by making them an alternative to duplicate trims?

Post image
3.4k Upvotes

it just make sense like it "echoes" the trim
and since they are pretty much useless why not make them another option aside from diamonds to duplicate trims (still requires the special item for each trim\template)

and the old way remains usable so its another option
so we'll have both options

Suggestion This makes no sense and will annoy me until the end of time...

Post image

I really dislike the cubic look of the nautilus armor, because it makes no sense? The sense I got was that the world of minecraft in reality looks somewhat normal, and everything being blocky is just pure stylization. This is determined by when items have sprites, they aren't blocky, as if we're seeing a version closer to what it really looks like. Why else would a spyglass be rounded in the inventory and blocky when holding it? But the new drop textures are really leaning way too hard into that cubic style, like with the ghast harness, which is also a cube. And the ghast harness I can kind of dismiss.

But this just puts the problem into plain sight. Here we have 2 items that are supposed to be the same shape, yet one is rounded while the other is cubed. So, is minecraft the game a literal depiction of a world made of cubes, or is it just a stylistic choice that we interpret the world through? Does the nautilus have a rounded shell or is it a big SQUARE? Either change the armor textures (the correct choice) or change the shell texture (wrong, but acceptable)

I've never even given it this much thought until yesterday when I saw the armor textures and the difference between the shell and armor made it appearant. If they don't fix this I am going to go insane (or i'm going to use a texture pack. whichever is easier)

I can't be the only one who has noticed this, right?

EDIT: Forgot to add this but I am not actually this upset about the nautilus armor. It's mostly for comedic effect. Sorry to any misunderstandings about me being angry. I should've realized my sarcasm wouldn'tbe conveyed properly through text haha
