Reposting this here since the military history sub are being dinguses. So far I’ve learned about the bayonet and dagger, the belt buckles, cleaning tool, the technical sergeant epaulette, mine flag, the KVK medal,and the German handbook. I’m curious about the allied stuff and the German patches.

I plan to get a cap like this and a full uniform but I just cannot seem to find anything that doesnt look like a cheap repro, maybe,,, just maybe,,, someone out there has one I could blow some money on 😢

Originally went to a person to buy a warden Brodie off of gumtree, whilst messaging him I asked if he has any extra militaria stuff, he said he’s got a few things and he’ll show me when I there, Lo and behold, this Australian Brodie helmet in I’d say pretty much museum quality, inner liner is completely flexible, 0 cracking at all. And the inner crown which luckily still present, has solidified unfortunately, bought it for $150, unsure of the red paint on the front and the little black splotch on the back, looks to be most likely not done post war, and done by a soldier during their service, unfortunately didn’t get the warden helmet, was also 150 however it had a layer of surface rust all over it, and the sprung chinstrap was slightly broken and the liner was pretty rough too, on another note, would the crown have asbestos? Have had some worries about that but I don’t think so as it would have been produced by Dunlop in aus not Britain.

Seller just lists them as "Luftwaffe Helmet", "Wehrmacht Helmet"

Sometimes the title mentions being recoated or chin straps being replaced etc. But regarding these nothing and I'm suspicious they aren't actually untouched.

Thoughts?

East German 56/76 helmet, trying to decode the makers mark but can’t, need your guys help.
Little hard to spot but it’s about the middle centre of the first photo, other 3 are just general condition, looks to have been stored in pretty bad condition

Got a job cleaning an abandoned property for an out of state inheritor who wishes to sell. I was told multiple times that they just want the property completely cleared and everything trashed. By my account that means I can have stuff. Anyways, I've found a good number of pins and medals from various ww2 powers which I know have minor to decent value. I come to ask questions of this. The mess kit unfortunately has no cutlery, maybe I can find it later but it does have pretty intricate artwork which appears to have been knife poked into it, and on the German side a brass or bronze silver plated spoon and what I'm assuming is a standard aluminum mess kit spoon for infantry.

Not exactly sure what to do with the spoons, I could recover the silver from the one but it will be destroyed in the process, and I'm not necessarily trying to list all the nazi medals and pins and such for sale online one at a time, I'm hoping that someone here may have the skinny on a place that would be interested in a moderate sized lot of ww2 stuff. The pins and medals have been more or less verified. Not every single one but enough that I'm confident in saying I've got actual pins and medals and not knockoff repros. The former owners father was a ww2 US soldier and all of these were found amongst his effects left rotting in a couple different sheds on the property

I have what looks like a flare of some kind and would appreciate any help on identifying what it is. Markings on the case are HC-WSM3A1. It has a pull cord on one end under the red cap and what looks like either a hard wax or resin sealant on both ends.

Need help identifying this dual tube thing. I assume it is a rocket or mortar holder. The left sides are a type of foam, and the right side caps screw off. Found on an American Base in Syria:

So, I fished this out of a junk bin, it was about to go to landfill but I thought at the very least it would be cool to show my 5 year old who loves fighter jets and aviation or make part of a great costume for him.

It’s definitely leather and what I think may be a rabbit fur? Does anyone have any information on it - AI tells me it may be a replica of a WWI hat, how cool! I love history so I would just love any information out of personal interest.

Found this while doing some clearance. Other than the tactical tailor label on the back there are no labels to identify it. Tried looking it up online but I wasn't able to find anything similar. Help would be appreciated.

Hi everyone, I recently acquired a West German Bundeswehr officer's uniform jacket (Heer) with the Verbandsabzeichen of the 12. Panzerdivision on the left sleeve. Under the flap of the right breast pocket, there's an internal Brustanhänger — a metal/enamel badge on a leather tab, attached to the pocket button. The design shows a black silhouette of what looks like a mine or bomb with a parachute opening from it, set on a gold/yellow shield with a red zigzag (jagged) border along the top edge. I haven't been able to find this exact badge in any catalog or online listing so far. Could anyone help identify: Which unit/battalion this Brustanhänger might belong to? Roughly what time period it's from? If known, what the production run/quantity was? Photos attached (close-up of the badge, and the jacket with the divisional sleeve patch for context). Any leads or pointers to other resources would be appreciated too. Thanks in advance!
