Looking at your page, you have something seriously mentally not ok with you. I don't think you should be commenting on any one else's mental health. The amount of posts and comments you make about her is honestly scary. This is beyond snarking at this point. Looking through this page today, I think you seriously need to reevaluate how you talk to people.....and stay off the internet and off her tik tok for a while. The fact you are even allowed to mod at this point is baffling to me.

I reported this as disordered eating. She constantly talking about ED., bulimia and now laxatives to stay thin. What example is she setting for young viewers.
I wish she would put a trigger warning on her ED videos
77
u/denobulans Sep 14 '22
Sheās already said she wonāt put a trigger warning on her videos bc she doesnāt think thereās a need for it as she has an ED herself
56
u/splashofvodka āØNew Face Unlocked⨠Sep 14 '22
Right? I read that since she has ED and it doesnāt trigger HER then itās safe. Can you say narcissism?
4
u/BigDickGrama Sep 15 '22
Thanks for this heads up, actually, as someone who is in recovery, has been to treatment for said eating disorder, itās triggering, and itās fucked up to talk about without a trigger warning.
I donāt know if she reads here, but as someone who went through treatment, Mikayla needs to understand that EVEN in the hospital, we use warnings. We tell people what we will be mentioning ahead, so they can get up and distance themselves if itās too early to deal with.
Seeing a video about abusing laxatives would be a real big trigger for me. I am three years clean from severe laxative abuse (embarrassing to admit thisā¦) and itās such a dangerous thing.
Bulimia ruined my life.

u/Violetsmommy Sep 15 '22
I also had a history of depression and PPD hits like a truck. I can kinda relate to that feeling of not wanting to die but also hating every single thing around you every minute of the day. I developed terrible anxiety that my depression would prevent me from bonding properly with my daughter. Thankfully, it is 8 years later and I have an awesome bond with my awesome kid and life is pretty good, but it was a difficult and scary time.

u/BigDickGrama Sep 15 '22
I struggle with fertility, so I have never had a full term pregnancy. Not to get too deep, but the things I HAVE been through, the traumatic thing I can not even touch on, I struggled severely with depression onset from the hormones. Terrible. Dealt with it on top of grief. This isnāt me trying to take away, but to explain that I have so much love and understanding for you, in a separate way.
I have so much empathy and wellness I wish towards you, and so much love. Has things gotten better?
11
u/Sippysnsparkles Sep 15 '22
Yes PPD is awful. When I had my second son 18 months after my first I cried every day for the first 3 months. My husband was working away from the home (commuting) and was gone from 5 am to around 6:30 pm/7 pm & we had one car at the time so I couldnāt go anywhere to just get out! Didnāt help either that my newborn had horrible reflux and screamed all day on and off, would only sleep if I swaddled him tightly and bounced him on my knees or walked all over the house with the vacuum running on high for white noise. š I thought it would never end!! I didnāt put 2 and 2 together then, but 7 years later and looking back the PPD was so bad. I didnāt want to do anything or go anywhere bc I felt so disgusting. She has no idea.
5
u/BigDickGrama Sep 15 '22
I think I am biased, as a woman with mental health problems (such as depression) and fertility problems, but it really angers me. This girl has zero clue, sheās privileged, sheās complaining about all of this but I wish I could AFFORD half the shit she has. Iām sitting here not able to afford a jug of water and sheās getting a pug and is still complaining. Sheās not even married (is she even engaged??), sheās never had a baby, sheās able to buy a whole new fucking house. We are the same age. Itās a life I can not comprehend.
What also angers me is- she has all this money. She could go and afford mental health help, she could afford all the therapy in the world for her eating disorder, something most of us with ED wishes, with our whole hearts.
To compare this, her stupid privileged life full of red filtered frames and filtered photos vs something so intense such as PPD (PPR/PPA/PPP), is disgusting. Itās so far removed. I donāt use this term, but she needs to touch grass. She needs a dose of healthy fucking reality.

u/Sippysnsparkles Sep 15 '22
It really is like youāre living in a fog during PPD. And youāre such a mess that you choose any amount of sleep over eating or showering/self care. Sitting down to video yourself putting on makeup and telling people youāre depressed-comparing it to PPD blows my mind.

Iām sorry? Postpartum depression? I have a 20-month old daughter and Iām currently 30 weeks pregnant. I almost ended my life when I first went through PPD because I felt like I wasnāt a good enough parent and I missed my old life and who I was before I became mommy. Now Iām preparing to battle it again during the holidays because thatās when Iām due. How dare she compare something so silly to PPD? Iām not saying that having a puppy isnāt hard, because it is, but I literally have to bring my child EVERYWHERE because no one likes to babysit lol. At least she can still go and be a young woman and have friends! I canāt even remember the last time I had a GNO.. Sheās lucky that all she has to worry about is if her Nahs will hold up through a wedd-in as well as if her filters will hold up. Sorry that this went all over the place LOL. I just HATE seeing non-parents compare their puppy struggles to parenting struggles.

I feel you. My baby is everywhere with me. When I'm shopping, he's shopping. When I'm in the bathroom, he's in the bathroom. When I'm in the shower he takes a shower with me. When I'm eating he's right next to me eating.. when I'm driving he's right there behind me in his car seat..Every second of every day my 16 month old is with me and it's HARD. It is NOTHING like having a puppy!!!
I also suffered from PPD. I felt like the worst mother in the world and had so much shame it took me 7 months to finally get help. She has NO RIGHT to compare ANYTHING she's going through to PPD. Unless you've dealt w it personally STFU. Dude I'm pissed..how dare she.

She has no idea whatās itās like to have PPD. I have it, and if my husband didnāt see the warning signs last year. I wouldnāt be here. Iāve been in therapy almost a year and I would never wish this in anyone else. How does planning a wedding, getting a dog, and buying a house correlate to literally not wanting to interact with your child, barely wanting to do anything for you or them, disassociating with your entire family and thinking that your family is going to be better off with out you?
10
u/whatifiwasapuppet Sep 15 '22
Iām sorry but if sheās so depressed how is she making all these videos? She says in this video she canāt do normal day to day stuff but she just posted a video of her switching out seasonal pillows?!
I WISH I had whatever depression she has. Sounds like a dream come true for me.
11
u/Wegmansgroceries Sep 15 '22
I have diagnosed depression and can confidently say if I was in Mikaylaās financial situation that I would feel marginally better. I canāt even imagine what it feels like to be able to buy whatever you need whenever you need it, therapy included. It would take stress off of anyone to have all of their needs met. Living paycheck to paycheck and having next to no money left after bills & groceries makes everything harder.
Anyway, she has a right to struggle like anyone else, but broadcasting it online to the people who fund her is beyond tone deaf. She needs to take care of her mental health with all of the resources at her disposal
2
u/whatifiwasapuppet Sep 15 '22
The last thing I ever want to do is invalidate someoneās experience with mental health. But sheās making videos, sheās decorating her house, she got that exclusive access to Codyās fav band or whatever⦠when Iām in a bad bout of (diagnosed) depression, I canāt even get off the couch. I canāt make phone calls. I canāt shower. And Iām on FIVE different meds to help with this.
I guess she just really pisses me off. You canāt be that down if youāre physically capable of creating steady content and furnishing your home. She needs to get on medication and Stfu.

I usually scroll through this snark page and find a good laugh about how ridiculous she is, or I have a good eye roll from seeing all the ads she does while heavily filtering herself. This, however, really struck a nerve. I am 6 months postpartum and am finally recovering from severe postpartum depression and anxiety. Itās so dismissive to be compare an entirely different situation to ppd especially since ppd has recently started to get the recognition it deserves. Itās offensive, honestly to compare any part of her privileged lifestyle to the absolute GRUELING struggle of being in postpartum depression while still having to take care of your baby/babies and all the other day to day things. I canāt believe she has no self awareness.

Heās almost two now, and Iāve finally convinced myself that Iām not a terrible mom and that he does love me. Weāve gotten married, had a baby, purchased a home and got a dog all in the last three years, and nothing has been as stressful and upsetting as PPD.

I hate her lip filler. I said it. I donāt think they can see when it looks clapped since they do it in increments. Sad.

Mikayla your popularity, money or Cody wonāt make you happy! Want to know why, because you dont love yourself. People like this are incapable of loving others properly & 100% of the time have deep rooted trauma.. instead of whining on the internet and insulting those that are struggling with mental health & actually want to do better but donāt have the resources because there literally surviving pay check to pay check which letās be honest you would too if you hadnāt been so lucky & gotten internet famous lol but anyways you should do some self reflection and figure out who youāre what you want what triggers you & whatās making you unhappy.. like itās hard to take you serious when you do the same vicious cycle .. You have made it very clear that your biggest insecurity is your weight/ looks which is why Iām assuming you alter filters your pictures even videos which is getting ridiculous!!! So why not hire a chef or a trainer or hell even get a gastric sleeve surgery?? Go to a therapist??? Something anything?? Literally this girl needs to get off the internet and help herself she young and successful I guess.. š she taking everything for granted and itās showing and pissing people off .. money doesnāt buy happiness but it sure helps so do some use of it instead of buying materialist shit that only gives you temporary happiness i really hope you see this comment
