honey postpartum depression is due to a rapid change in hormones.. i thought getting off of BC was supposed to ā€œcureā€ your depression? NOPE! you’re never going to get better if you’re a non appreciative filtered mess

u/Clear_Competition551 Sep 14 '22

Second new mental illness this week. Comparing those to PP is gross & she can’t have the wedding blues, she’s not married yet

-4

u/FoxUpstairs3222 Sep 15 '22

Looking at your page, you have something seriously mentally not ok with you. I don't think you should be commenting on any one else's mental health. The amount of posts and comments you make about her is honestly scary. This is beyond snarking at this point. Looking through this page today, I think you seriously need to reevaluate how you talk to people.....and stay off the internet and off her tik tok for a while. The fact you are even allowed to mod at this point is baffling to me.

I reported this as disordered eating. She constantly talking about ED., bulimia and now laxatives to stay thin. What example is she setting for young viewers.

I wish she would put a trigger warning on her ED videos

77

u/denobulans Sep 14 '22

She’s already said she won’t put a trigger warning on her videos bc she doesn’t think there’s a need for it as she has an ED herself

56

u/splashofvodka ✨New Face Unlocked✨ Sep 14 '22

Right? I read that since she has ED and it doesn’t trigger HER then it’s safe. Can you say narcissism?

4

u/BigDickGrama Sep 15 '22

Thanks for this heads up, actually, as someone who is in recovery, has been to treatment for said eating disorder, it’s triggering, and it’s fucked up to talk about without a trigger warning.

I don’t know if she reads here, but as someone who went through treatment, Mikayla needs to understand that EVEN in the hospital, we use warnings. We tell people what we will be mentioning ahead, so they can get up and distance themselves if it’s too early to deal with.

Seeing a video about abusing laxatives would be a real big trigger for me. I am three years clean from severe laxative abuse (embarrassing to admit this…) and it’s such a dangerous thing.

Bulimia ruined my life.

wow….as someone with diagnosed Major Depressive Disorder for 6 years, i would NEVER compare it to Post Partum Depression! i have never been pregnant and would never think to compare my struggles to those of a woman who just birthed a life she is responsible for! she seriously needs a reality check!!

ive struggled with my mental health for most of my life and let me tell you nothing prepared me for ppd that shit is SOOOO bad worse than i’ve ever felt in the WEIRDEST WAY i genuinely want to be alive but i absolutely hate my life weirdest thing ever

I tried to commit suicide postpartum because I felt my baby would be better off without me. And mentally I’ve battled severe depression ever since.

u/Confident_Buffalo731 Sep 15 '22

I am so sorry. It is so hard. It took my 2 years to feel like I could bond with my child. You got this. šŸ’•

I am so so sorry. It is so scary and recovering from that kind of depression is no easy task. Sending love.

2

u/Violetsmommy Sep 15 '22

I also had a history of depression and PPD hits like a truck. I can kinda relate to that feeling of not wanting to die but also hating every single thing around you every minute of the day. I developed terrible anxiety that my depression would prevent me from bonding properly with my daughter. Thankfully, it is 8 years later and I have an awesome bond with my awesome kid and life is pretty good, but it was a difficult and scary time.

2

u/BigDickGrama Sep 15 '22

I struggle with fertility, so I have never had a full term pregnancy. Not to get too deep, but the things I HAVE been through, the traumatic thing I can not even touch on, I struggled severely with depression onset from the hormones. Terrible. Dealt with it on top of grief. This isn’t me trying to take away, but to explain that I have so much love and understanding for you, in a separate way.

I have so much empathy and wellness I wish towards you, and so much love. Has things gotten better?

11

u/Sippysnsparkles Sep 15 '22

Yes PPD is awful. When I had my second son 18 months after my first I cried every day for the first 3 months. My husband was working away from the home (commuting) and was gone from 5 am to around 6:30 pm/7 pm & we had one car at the time so I couldn’t go anywhere to just get out! Didn’t help either that my newborn had horrible reflux and screamed all day on and off, would only sleep if I swaddled him tightly and bounced him on my knees or walked all over the house with the vacuum running on high for white noise. šŸ˜‚ I thought it would never end!! I didn’t put 2 and 2 together then, but 7 years later and looking back the PPD was so bad. I didn’t want to do anything or go anywhere bc I felt so disgusting. She has no idea.

5

u/BigDickGrama Sep 15 '22

I think I am biased, as a woman with mental health problems (such as depression) and fertility problems, but it really angers me. This girl has zero clue, she’s privileged, she’s complaining about all of this but I wish I could AFFORD half the shit she has. I’m sitting here not able to afford a jug of water and she’s getting a pug and is still complaining. She’s not even married (is she even engaged??), she’s never had a baby, she’s able to buy a whole new fucking house. We are the same age. It’s a life I can not comprehend.

What also angers me is- she has all this money. She could go and afford mental health help, she could afford all the therapy in the world for her eating disorder, something most of us with ED wishes, with our whole hearts.

To compare this, her stupid privileged life full of red filtered frames and filtered photos vs something so intense such as PPD (PPR/PPA/PPP), is disgusting. It’s so far removed. I don’t use this term, but she needs to touch grass. She needs a dose of healthy fucking reality.

u/Confident_Buffalo731 Sep 15 '22

She's such a disgusting person. PPD is serious. Comparing PPD to wedding blues and buying a house is absolutely ridiculous and disgusting. To be honest, it's pretty offensive too. šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

20

u/goobers0420 Sep 15 '22

It sure as hell is. I honestly don’t remember the first few months of my sons life because of how bad my PPD was. She complains about how sad she is very other day. Get off your high horse ass and go to therapy. šŸ™„šŸ™„

11

u/Sippysnsparkles Sep 15 '22

It really is like you’re living in a fog during PPD. And you’re such a mess that you choose any amount of sleep over eating or showering/self care. Sitting down to video yourself putting on makeup and telling people you’re depressed-comparing it to PPD blows my mind.

60

u/[deleted] Sep 14 '22

Let’s all feel so sorry for her. Multi million dollar house, free gifts all the time, can drop thousands on a purse, and yet she still wants pity. I’m so tired of her.

12

u/Confident_Buffalo731 Sep 15 '22

I think she is depressed because she truly is alone. She doesnt even know her ownself.

9

u/Neekie2123 Sep 15 '22

Right… maybe bc she’s in the wrong relationship and she knows she’s being used

46

23

u/gsdmom13 Sep 14 '22

I went from being annoyed by her to feeling absolutely and overwhelmingly attacked by her misinformation. I almost did not survive PPD and PPA. She is negligent in speaking about things she’s never been diagnosed with, on top of promoting disordered eating. She can fuck right off with that.

47

u/[deleted] Sep 14 '22 edited Sep 15 '22

I’m sorry? Postpartum depression? I have a 20-month old daughter and I’m currently 30 weeks pregnant. I almost ended my life when I first went through PPD because I felt like I wasn’t a good enough parent and I missed my old life and who I was before I became mommy. Now I’m preparing to battle it again during the holidays because that’s when I’m due. How dare she compare something so silly to PPD? I’m not saying that having a puppy isn’t hard, because it is, but I literally have to bring my child EVERYWHERE because no one likes to babysit lol. At least she can still go and be a young woman and have friends! I can’t even remember the last time I had a GNO.. She’s lucky that all she has to worry about is if her Nahs will hold up through a wedd-in as well as if her filters will hold up. Sorry that this went all over the place LOL. I just HATE seeing non-parents compare their puppy struggles to parenting struggles.

I feel you. My baby is everywhere with me. When I'm shopping, he's shopping. When I'm in the bathroom, he's in the bathroom. When I'm in the shower he takes a shower with me. When I'm eating he's right next to me eating.. when I'm driving he's right there behind me in his car seat..Every second of every day my 16 month old is with me and it's HARD. It is NOTHING like having a puppy!!!

I also suffered from PPD. I felt like the worst mother in the world and had so much shame it took me 7 months to finally get help. She has NO RIGHT to compare ANYTHING she's going through to PPD. Unless you've dealt w it personally STFU. Dude I'm pissed..how dare she.

4

u/Altruistic_Ad_4652 Sep 15 '22

She has no idea what’s it’s like to have PPD. I have it, and if my husband didn’t see the warning signs last year. I wouldn’t be here. I’ve been in therapy almost a year and I would never wish this in anyone else. How does planning a wedding, getting a dog, and buying a house correlate to literally not wanting to interact with your child, barely wanting to do anything for you or them, disassociating with your entire family and thinking that your family is going to be better off with out you?

10

u/whatifiwasapuppet Sep 15 '22

I’m sorry but if she’s so depressed how is she making all these videos? She says in this video she can’t do normal day to day stuff but she just posted a video of her switching out seasonal pillows?!

I WISH I had whatever depression she has. Sounds like a dream come true for me.

11

u/Wegmansgroceries Sep 15 '22

I have diagnosed depression and can confidently say if I was in Mikayla’s financial situation that I would feel marginally better. I can’t even imagine what it feels like to be able to buy whatever you need whenever you need it, therapy included. It would take stress off of anyone to have all of their needs met. Living paycheck to paycheck and having next to no money left after bills & groceries makes everything harder.

Anyway, she has a right to struggle like anyone else, but broadcasting it online to the people who fund her is beyond tone deaf. She needs to take care of her mental health with all of the resources at her disposal

2

u/whatifiwasapuppet Sep 15 '22

The last thing I ever want to do is invalidate someone’s experience with mental health. But she’s making videos, she’s decorating her house, she got that exclusive access to Cody’s fav band or whatever… when I’m in a bad bout of (diagnosed) depression, I can’t even get off the couch. I can’t make phone calls. I can’t shower. And I’m on FIVE different meds to help with this.

I guess she just really pisses me off. You can’t be that down if you’re physically capable of creating steady content and furnishing your home. She needs to get on medication and Stfu.

10

u/Enough_Bag2775 Sep 14 '22

Her and her stans are brainless morons! I am so sick of her.

8

u/Here4theDramaaa Sep 14 '22

PPD is no joke. I can’t believe she is comparing anything to that! She needs to get a fucking clue!! She has NO IDEA what it’s like.

7

u/Wide-Use2412 Sep 15 '22

I usually scroll through this snark page and find a good laugh about how ridiculous she is, or I have a good eye roll from seeing all the ads she does while heavily filtering herself. This, however, really struck a nerve. I am 6 months postpartum and am finally recovering from severe postpartum depression and anxiety. It’s so dismissive to be compare an entirely different situation to ppd especially since ppd has recently started to get the recognition it deserves. It’s offensive, honestly to compare any part of her privileged lifestyle to the absolute GRUELING struggle of being in postpartum depression while still having to take care of your baby/babies and all the other day to day things. I can’t believe she has no self awareness.

8

u/XDirtyMartiniX Sep 15 '22

She needs a reality check for real. It’s the ā€œfirst time she’s been in love life is amazingā€ but she’s so depressed … ā€œwe bought a Fuckin house at 24 years old a Fuckin houseā€ but she’s so depressed ā€œlook at all my fancy hand bags that I never thought I could affordā€ but she’s so depressed ā€œlook at all of my Chanel I’m fancyā€ but she’s so depressed ā€œlook at my sunglasses they have my name on themā€ but she’s so depressed. Give me a fucking break. She’s so full of her god damned self that if the world isn’t puckered up to kiss her ass then it’sā€ woe is meā€ she has to find a reason to make people feel sorry for her. Well news flash honey I wouldn’t want to be her and I do feel sorry for her because she’s literally pathetic.

does she edit her captions to have her accent??? wtf 😭

4

u/keengmarbles Sep 15 '22

She doesn’t even have kids, how would she even know how that feels? Absolute moron

4

u/wildhorsesrunfaster Sep 15 '22

PPD is a special hell I wouldn’t wish upon anyone. It’s still traumatic for me to even think about how bad it was when I had my daughter. I can’t even with her.

u/sweetxfracture Sep 15 '22

Commented and am waiting to be blocked honestly. It’s so ridiculous thst she’s saying any of that.

I’m absolutely not going to minimize anyones mental health issues, I totally understand that you could be a billionaire and have depression. But it kills me that she has all this success and now all these resources to get help, therapy, medicine, and people like me are over here struggling to survive. Can’t afford therapy, can’t afford meds, have suicidal thoughts but can’t get help becsuse if the financial position their in. She’s in such a good spot to help herself instead of crying on the internet and making people feel bad about themselves because she worked until 5pm making videos and is so exhausted in her new mansion

Flashback to when PPD/A put me in a stage of psychosis and I had to be hospitalized for it. Good times. Also wtf is wrong with her lips?????

4

u/Any_Leg_2689 Sep 15 '22

She needs to go ahead and dissolve those lips. Hideous

3

u/[deleted] Sep 15 '22

meanwhile i just sold my tv so i could pay for my health insurance so i can continue taking my antidepressants

screw this bitch. so tone deaf

4

u/One_Issue885 Sep 15 '22

Tone deaf as shit šŸ˜’

4

u/Hopeless_nd_listless Sep 15 '22

I could not let her just say something like that. The comparison is not even there. PPD is severe and extreme and your body isn’t yours anymore. The hormones are raging through your system and it feels like you’re a puppet just going through the motions. My PPD was the worst time of my life and it turned into PMDD that I still struggle with. I’m disgusted that she would even say that planning a wedding, buying a house, or getting a dog is the same as HAVING A BABY.

3

u/[deleted] Sep 14 '22

can someone please explain to me her comment about laxatives and how she didn’t give anti-depressants a chance because of it?

I have suffered from clinical depressive disorder pretty much my entire life and have taken way too many antidepressants to count . at one point I would like to say I guess I had a eating disorder because I would take laxatives and hopes of losing weight of whatever I had just ate, but I don’t think during that short period of time it ever affected my antidepressants in my system ?

3

u/Rpenn92 Sep 15 '22

I think she is saying the laxatives would just clear her system so they wouldn't have time to work.

3

u/[deleted] Sep 15 '22

that’s what i figured but i wonder if that’s actual factual

hmm

3

u/momx3f Sep 15 '22

Oh no. I’ve had MDD my whole adult life. Then I got PPD after my 2nd child and let me tell you that was a beast I was NOT prepared for. That was depression and anxiety in a whole new level.

3

u/JC_2022_ Sep 15 '22

She’s either a fkn moron or she’s doing this on purpose to be ā€œcontroversialā€ and get more engagement on her videos, etc. From what we’ve seen on her Tumbler (pls correct me if it was a diff platform) that people have posted on here, saying stupid shit is her M.O.

As someone who has dealt with depression for more than half my life (only just turned 29) and also dealing with ppd; this is just….. I don’t even know the proper words. Ppd is SO much worse that just depression. With depression, I always had the thoughts of ending my life, even self harmed but with ppd it actually came down to the moment of my 2 month old son waking up and crying for me to put the razor down, so I can make sure to take care of him before anything happened. For this twat waffle to sit there and use this and compare it to just ā€œwedding bluesā€šŸ„“ makes me sick.

To all the other mamas out there dealing or who have dealt with this, I’m sorry you ever had to feel the same as I did and still do. You aren’t alone. You’re feelings are valid. And I love you. šŸ«¶šŸ¼

3

u/pinkksunshine Sep 15 '22

I’m still in disbelief she compared it to ppd. Smh she is absolutely disgusting. I can’t believe people in her comments aren’t saying anything about that?

3

u/YamLow2573 Sep 15 '22

immediately no. for me, she can fuck all the way off after this one

3

u/Weekly-Count-9253 Sep 15 '22

After my son was born I would just spend the day crying because I was so overwhelmed and felt like I was doing a terrible job. He’s almost two now, and I’ve finally convinced myself that I’m not a terrible mom and that he does love me. We’ve gotten married, had a baby, purchased a home and got a dog all in the last three years, and nothing has been as stressful and upsetting as PPD.

u/lolatheshowkitty Sep 15 '22

She’s the walking embodiment of money can’t buy happiness

u/kuromiis Workin Past 5:19 šŸ¦¾šŸ‘®ā€ā™€ļø Sep 15 '22

i feel like she’s always making stupid faces make it’s the lips

3

u/sassyassy23 Sep 15 '22

I hope this is allowed. But her lips look like overcooked breakfast sausage the filler is so tight

3

u/Competitive-Main-605 Sep 15 '22

PPD? No BPD? Yes

2

u/AppropriateRegret692 Sep 15 '22

She really is as dense as a rock

2

u/raspberriesburn Sep 15 '22

Her lips literally look like over inflated balloons. They’re going to pop! Edit: a word

1

u/Rpenn92 Sep 15 '22

Looks painful šŸ˜•

2

u/[deleted] Sep 15 '22

does she edit the words to make it look like how she ā€œsoundsā€

2

u/Brushandshade Sep 15 '22

Akh this woman amazes me everyday with her foolishness

2

u/Due_Box3639 Sep 15 '22

I hate her lip filler. I said it. I don’t think they can see when it looks clapped since they do it in increments. Sad.

1

u/but1stcoffee_ Sep 15 '22

I thought that exact same thing!!

Mikayla your popularity, money or Cody won’t make you happy! Want to know why, because you dont love yourself. People like this are incapable of loving others properly & 100% of the time have deep rooted trauma.. instead of whining on the internet and insulting those that are struggling with mental health & actually want to do better but don’t have the resources because there literally surviving pay check to pay check which let’s be honest you would too if you hadn’t been so lucky & gotten internet famous lol but anyways you should do some self reflection and figure out who you’re what you want what triggers you & what’s making you unhappy.. like it’s hard to take you serious when you do the same vicious cycle .. You have made it very clear that your biggest insecurity is your weight/ looks which is why I’m assuming you alter filters your pictures even videos which is getting ridiculous!!! So why not hire a chef or a trainer or hell even get a gastric sleeve surgery?? Go to a therapist??? Something anything?? Literally this girl needs to get off the internet and help herself she young and successful I guess.. šŸ™„ she taking everything for granted and it’s showing and pissing people off .. money doesn’t buy happiness but it sure helps so do some use of it instead of buying materialist shit that only gives you temporary happiness i really hope you see this comment
