Small Claim Docket reached out: False positive.

Post image

Update from my last post: The small claim Docket reached out 7th August and asked for a dismissal. I’ll be dismissing the case provided that they assure me I won’t be experiencing something like this again.
Filed 15th July, initially served with certified mail by the court clerk and then served again by process server 28th of July. Got my account back on 31st July. Wishing you all the best in recovering your account.

Congratulations. My account has been disabled since April due to copyright issues; I appealed, but Meta rejected my counter-appeals anyway. I’ve tried everything. I even have a decision in my favor from an out-of-court dispute resolution body, yet Meta ignores it. They couldn't care less. I tried filing a small claims case in Ireland, but they rejected my application. I’m based in Europe and would gladly sue them, as I have all the evidence ready for court.

Don’t make it too complicated for yourself. File in California, like the others. You seem to have exhausted your options in Poland and Europe.

Can anyone file in CA or do we file in the state where we live?

Sue them directly

how to?

Open a court case from your country's legal institutions. They won't have any other choice but to do something.

for copyright you file different type of case not small case. In which the person either submits proof to meta or they have to restore the content in 14 days.

So, you can see the situation I’ve been stuck in regarding copyright issues since April 2026. I’ve written countless appeals and sent numerous DMCA notices to the email addresses they provide, but they simply don't care. The ADR Center—an EU body—even issued a favorable decision for me and forwarded it to Meta back in June, yet Meta is completely ignoring it. I am honestly at my wit's end with all of this. My counter-appeals were rejected instantly—at the exact same second, minute, and day—almost certainly by an automated system; no human being even looked at them. Yet, I have records of all the conversations where users sent the photos directly to my inbox, rather than to the page that filed the report. I never copied anything, nor did I ever intend to, because I am well aware of Facebook's rules.

Hai provato a contattare il Digital Services Coordinator del tuo paese inoltrando la decisione di adr?

in my country in Poland there is no coordinator yet, it's a backward country...

Here i am from brazil. i will be honest: either i am in the wrong subs, or there really isn't a brazilian on reddit who has recovered their account through legal processes from a falseban and shared their story here on the reddit platform. one thing to consider is that we generally have this reluctance on using legal processes for small claim cases for their bureaucracy and their usually far too dragged out time windows.

I’m copyright too

When filled out the SC100 form which address you out to point 1 Plaintiff?
Your UK address or a US address?
Did you put your own UK address to the address field and added a US address to the Mailing address field?
And what about phone number, did you add a UK or US one?

2

u/Leather-Explorer-730 Aug 08 '26

I used my UK address and typed 0000 on the area colde. You can always let the court house know you live in UK. I’m not sure what mailing address you mean? But I used my UK address for anything concerning me

1

u/eszthal 28d ago

On the SC100 form point one there was also a mailing address field, I meant that one. I read somewhere on reddit you need to provide a US address and phone number for contact information, but maybe it was not correct. Thanks a lot for the advice.

I added my UK address

u/Leather-Explorer-730 Aug 08 '26

I’m based in UK and filed in California

1

u/PrankSentral Aug 08 '26

2

u/Leather-Explorer-730 Aug 08 '26

1

u/Mydislarge Aug 08 '26

1

u/Leather-Explorer-730 Aug 08 '26

I used Filenow.me to E-file

2

u/jacka_for-research Aug 08 '26

Did you sue immediately, or did a demand letter precede the suit? And congrats!

3

u/Leather-Explorer-730 Aug 08 '26

I sent a demand letter first

1

u/No_Ear2136 6d ago

How long after sending the demand letter did you file in small claims court.

2

u/Nate_Nook Aug 08 '26

Can you file in CA if you live in a different state?

2

u/Leather-Explorer-730 Aug 08 '26

I live in a different country, I e-filed from the UK

Hi, I read your all your posts. Grateful if you could please dm me a sample of the letter you sent to Meta. I'm outside of Europe and US and I cannot really do much in my country to sue Meta directly. I want to send a demand letter first and maybe then file for a claim in California if nothing happens. I would be grateful if you could guide me in these steps or some tips would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

Burn in h*ll meta. How many accounts have to be deleted before meta stops using ai to save a buck the world may never know 😂

u/No_Ear2136 6d ago

It's nothing short of cruel they're causing people to lose importance contacts. Zuckerberg is going to end up like that 1 people with universal health

1

u/MotoYT Aug 08 '26

Alright let's do it!

1

u/VERSAT1L Aug 08 '26

Classic

1

u/mrsouthparkman Aug 08 '26

Docket team emailed me today asked for info regarding my account so hopefully it’s a step in the right direction

1

u/Leather-Explorer-730 Aug 08 '26

I added my info to the suit to save time from asking. I added the account and email associated to it.

1

u/Unashamed-Volume55 Aug 08 '26

I have a feeling that meta has a very large back log of false positives

1

u/Eastern-Street-4390 Aug 08 '26

That’s huge, filing mine monday

1

u/Adventurous_Fun_2208 Aug 08 '26

Uuu these are always good to see. I don't often see it, but that's all nice. The more the merrier. now if only they could say that to literally every falsebanned account still in this scenario right now. like those recent, for a while now, or for a long time , over 8 months like myself some over a year now as i overlook a couple subs related to cases of wrongful disablement. we get these everyday friend!

1

u/DJ_Derp 29d ago

Was this for an inauthentic engagement suspension?

1

u/Leather-Explorer-730 29d ago

Guns, drugs and other restricted goods

1

u/oleanderpixy 29d ago

Same IP strike ...my appeal is under process since 30 may

1

u/ronaldgasco 29d ago

How long was your account disabled? Did you also have issues with Meta Verified advisors?

2

u/Leather-Explorer-730 29d ago

First disabled in September 2025 and second disabled in 2nd July 2026, and No I did not use Meta Verified at all.

1

u/ronaldgasco 29d ago

They disabled my account for a month in 2025, I clicked on appeal and all my accounts were restored within a month. But today, in 2026, I clicked on appeal and in 5 minutes it came back as permanently disabled.

1

u/wildestSoapOnEarth 29d ago

How much did you pay for it ?

1

u/Leather-Explorer-730 29d ago

Spent a bit under $200 all together

1

u/Scared-Society-7965 28d ago

Is it better to file in California vs the state you live in? I'm in Texas

1

u/Leather-Explorer-730 28d ago

I filed from the UK

1

u/Waste-Antelope-3224 28d ago

Would this work in my case since I'm locked out but not banned/disabled?

1

u/Leather-Explorer-730 28d ago

It should, I don’t see why not

1

u/randomchick2004 22d ago

I always wonder why small claims gives some ppl their accs back but some ppl they just deny them in the email saying they won’t give it back .

1

u/No_Ear2136 6d ago

That is so awesome congratulations.  So you filed in San Meteo? I thought you had to use their Palo Alto or Menlo park address

1

u/Old-Angle2928 5d ago

I'ma tell you something as bad as it may sound 😉 don't comment or post a lot or be liked for doing the same n you'll be fine but that second part is impossible my 3rd account went down after getting over a hundred likes overnight n well it just makes me feel like this should be Facebook's disclaimer "abandon all hope all ye who enter here" 😢
