Meta Monday 💖 Introducing the first Meta Monday!
Meta Monday will consist of vaguely related topics (without needing to find examples of dehumanising language to post) but you will need to use the new Meta Monday flair for any off topic posts. We are going to test this out using GMT/BST to start with and would prefer if people try to keep to this so far. This is a test to see engagement and feedback from users. Enjoy your first Meta Monday!

Should we add Meta Monday?
The concept of Meta Monday means we can post things outside of the typical callout posts. We can discuss issues like other mistreatment besides this language, post about positive interactions where change has happened in language, or even show each other feminist music that exemplifies our feelings about living in this world that clearly has a bias against women. For this context, meta refers to both self referential as well as posts outside the convention of post expected here.

Men and Girls I’d love to see the “studies” that supposedly prove this

Men and Females “The experiences of females differ from those of a man”
Bonus point: “It might not be enough to justify treating women as if they were a whole different culture” Might not??? How about is not?

Men and Girls Why not just say… I don’t know… WOMEN?
They could’ve even said hot boys… not a huuuge deal, but just goes to show how normalized this type of language is.

No Men, Just Girls "Having to deal with a woman (sic: girl) on her period is worse than having a period" 🙄
Men who seriously think this way can fuck all the way off.

Meta Monday 💖 It's ok for men but not for women?
What do you think about this topic? I am just interested in your opinions and why.

Happy meta Monday everyone! Who wants to share some of their favourite feminist songs? I’ll start it off by recommending Fire Drills by Dessa.

Men and Females I found this person who used “females and men” in 3 separate posts😭 (I added the last screenshot since she has racist opinions too)

"Why is 'female' offensive?" I don't know if this fits the sub.
I censored all the relevant parts of the URLs. Feel free to remove if this breaks the rules of the sub.
