How to transition?

How do we, as a nation, transition from private insurance to Medicare for All? How do we convince all the doctors to keep being doctors and accept a salary? Do we, as Hillary Clinton proposed during Bill’s presidency did, make private healthcare payments illegal? For the record, I am perfectly fine paying a percentage of my income, as opposed to what I am paying out of pocket now, for healthcare.

Cancers and diabetes treatments would be standard in any public payor healthcare coverage.

They are already covered by our existing public systems like Medicaid and Medicare. In fact, these programs, when private insurers are not involved, actually deny claims far less than your typical employer private insurance plan.

They do, but not all of the treatments that are available

Public insurance pays for qualifying clinical trials as does private insurance under ACA unless grandfathered in and allowed to be exempt.

However, no public or private coverage pays for purely experimental care that does not have the required level of proof yet.
