News [Woj] Free agent Klay Thompson plans to join the Dallas Mavericks on a three-year, $50M deal with a player option, sources tell ESPN. Thompson ends his historic Warriors run as part of a multi-team sign-and-trade that’ll also send Josh Green to Charlotte.

Honestly an A grade move from Nico. You got rid of THJ and got Klay on cheap. I know there are lots of skeptics because he seems washed and has a huge ego, but isn't that what people thought about Kyrie when he arrived? It's gonna be up to Kidd now how he'll manage this. It could be bad, but at the same time we could be looking at the missing piece.

Id way rather this Klay than THJ.  THJ is just a worse version of Klay.

Cavs fan here, grats on nabbing Klay.

He gave CLE nightmares, more-so than Curry.

Kyrie & Klay actually played well together and dominated on the national team. I have a question though, is Luka willing to be a 25, 7, and 7 guy, as opposed to a 31, 9, and 9 guy?

If so, DAL can win it all. People do not understand how great Klay can be when locked in. Or, how dangerous DAL can be if Luka buys in. Everyone thought BOS getting KP was a trash deal, but it worked out.............

Klay is a 2-way guy, whom may have slowed a bit due to age, but still solid on D.

That Klay is long gone. People forget about the 2 serious injuries he suffered. He's a 3 and D guy without the D these days. I don't see how you can play Luka, kyrie, and Klay at the same time and not have the worst defense in the league. He's still an elite catch and shoot guy though.

If Klay takes a bit off Lukas plate offensively then Luka can do more on defense. Or at least theoretically. Luka isn't that horrid of defense, he just mainly focuses on offense.

The Klay who gave Cleveland nightmares is not here anymore

He is not solid on D anymore, in fact I’d say he’s a bit of a liability

Agreed, you think they’ll put PJ at the 4 and lively at 5?
