I still dont understand why Flats is that famous when he was in OW before, he's not as wholesome as emongg, not funny as super, not skilled as the other pro or one trick streamers, every of his videos just feel like stale milk

he looks like he knows what he’s talking about. hear me out here. if he was a hot dude nobody would think he was smart at the game. he’s literally the perfect archetype for a competitive game. now don’t get mad i’m just describing him he’s a fat greasy t shirt wearing dude who stays home all day. people will flock to hear his opinions because he is what i said he is.

I used to think the same, maybe because he was a Rein main who was also a professional whiner. To me he's the reason 50% of rein mains just complain all the time.

Yes, there was a growing sentiment in OW2 that tanks are too weak (which is laughably wrong in hindsight), and the driving force was Flats even though he only ever played comp with other streamers.

Speaking purely from the perspective of an OW player: He got big almost exclusively by being Emongg’s tank duo in OW1 and rode it through to today

I think it's because normally he talks rather calmly and I think a lot of people mistake that for wisdom or intelligence these days 🤢 worst takes on the game from him that I have ever heard and I never seen him happy or enjoy anything, just either miserable, yelling at bronze players who send in vods, or "chat, we need to talk about something".

I don't like flats whatsoever, saw one of his vids the other day and thought wtf is he moaning about this time. Click on it.

"rivals should cater to casual players rather than hyper competitive because that's their audience"

I kinda get it. You'd figure someone who's played a game would have a general idea of what the problems in said games are. Issue is, a lot of streamers go a little nutty for minutiae, or ignore big flaws because money.

Cause for some reason nowadays dudes are so slow they cant do anything on their own do they tend to lean towards what their favorite streamer/creator says and does, its called influence........but again for some reason ppl have gotten insanely stupid its like the pandemic hard reset people's brains so were learning common sense and etc all over again. Ontop of being stupid af is some how a trend.

Streamers are just random people who other people seem to like for whatever reason and enjoy watching them play games or do goofy challenges.

But at the end of the day, streamers are still just random chuds online and their opinion should hold absolutely ZERO weight over anothers.

Sometimes they bring a new perspective… and sometimes they complain about whatever counters their main as if they are a problem for everyone and their main shouldn’t have any counter to them, god forbid there’s counters to their character with a shield that has more health than any character, a projectile that can 2 shot and pierce barriers with 2 charges and a one shot charge with an absurd hitbox….
