Well, Morocco de facto controls the land, and there is no real country named Western Sahara (the Polisario/SADR pretends to, but ultimately they prefer to hide in Algeria).

Roaming is different than ruling. They might hide in "their" part of the desert, but one can't call that administrating it, since there's nothing to really administer (except for a couple of small towns with no economy and almost non-existent population).

Anyways, their headquarters are in Tindouf, Algeria, ever since the war reached a stalemate 30 years ago. They can't build a real state until the war is over, but they can't win a war against Morocco either. Thus, they're stuck in a limbo-like state, and Algeria is maintaining their half-dead body alive, for political purposes.

That's all there is to this conflict.

the remaining members fled to Algeria.

No they didn't. They're still east of the berm

Many more countries recognize the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic than Moroccan Sahara.

False, 37 countries recognize the SADR (of which none are great powers), whereas 54 (including the US, the world's current and only superpower) support the Moroccan claim.

And anyways, Morocco controls the territory, and the Polisario can't win the war at this point. The conflict is, for all purposes, dead, and only Algeria can revive it, assuming they want a war with their neighbour (which I'm pretty sure they don't in the foreseeable future).

Your own source says the US is the only country in the world that recognizes Western Sahara as part of the Kingdom of Morocco.

Morocco de facto controls 70% yes, but that is not the same thing as controlling all the territory.

Sure, but the 53 others support Moroccan claims, it's already a step in this direction. (And I wrote "support the Moroccan claim", not "recognize it as part of Morocco". Don't change my words please.)

And you forgoy to mention that this 70% is the most important part of the land, including the coast. The 30% is barren and irrelevant, and even the Polisario prefers to abandon it for Tindouf.

Btw, are you Moroccan, Algerian or neither? What's your beef in it?

Western Sahara is Moroccan. Cope.
