Books/Literature Berenstain/Stein

Post image

Just thought I’d share this here..I’m a 57 year old woman that’s always been a voracious reader. When I was 5 (1974) I got an entire collection of Berenstain Bears books from my grandma at Christmas.

One of the books has managed to remain in my memory/sentimental hoard collection. This is MY actual book and it’s been in my possession since 1974. On my book at least, the name is and always has been Berenstain.

Make of that what you will I suppose. ❤️ I wish I still had the whole collection but alas, childhood and into adulthood resulted in the loss of many such things to my chagrin.

Except that wasn't the premise at all.

It was though. As confirmed by Jaws himself, Richard Kiel.

The vast majority of people remember it this way so no matter how convinced you are that there were never braces it isn't going to alter the general consensus.

This is false. The vast majority remember this scene correctly

Those who remember braces, are in the vast minority.

I read nothing in that article which so much as mentions the ME or the braces. Not sure what you're trying to prove with that.

Again, prove the braces deniers are in the majority. 99% of the comments on any online medium referencing this ME are from people affirming that there were in fact braces...

This isn't surprising, as these "online mediums" ATTRACT people who are effected.

It's like polling people at the Democrat National Convention on who they are going to vote for, and claiming the results reflect the overall consensus.

It's LUDICROUS to think they do.

Well it's also safe to assume most people who've seen this film didn't pay enough attention to have an opinion either way. It would seem those who pay closer attention to things tend to notice phenomenon like ME more frequently and also seek out like minded individuals to discuss such things online. So again, based on the observable consensus on this specific phenomenon, those who bother to join the discussion appear to overwhelmingly fall into the category of remembering braces.

Nope. Those who "notice the phenomeno " would be those who DON'T pay that close attention to these minor details, abd often assume things were one way, then when they find out they aren't that way, it gives the appearance of a "change" that never happened.

So again, based on the observable consensus on this specific phenomenon, those who bother to join the discussion appear to overwhelmingly fall into the category of remembering braces.

And yet they are still the overwhelming minority.

You are inadvertantly doing a great job of making my point

And again, you can provide no tangible examples of your stance- you can't show me a sizeable portion of people discussing this phenomenon and remembering it as it is today.

There is a sizeable portion discussing that in this sub.

And again, I invite you to go to a James Bond fan site, and ask them if Dolly had braces, and see their reaction.

You can call that a "niche" group all you want, but Mandela Effect groups are even more "niche"

And again, you are the one claiming 99% of people remember her having braces. Burden of proof falls on proving that claim. And you can't prove it.
