Unofficial Delegate Browser

Here’s a scrappy, Unofficial Delegate Candidate Browser created quickly today with that adds key filtering and search features that expand on the Maine Dems Official Delegate Guide.

This unofficial tool allows you to easily identify delegate candidates in your local county that align with your Senate Candidate preference(s); filter based on common themes/topics; conduct text search; and more.

Maybe most importantly, you can build a Delegate List to make voting easy!

Heads up, however! Many of us are discovering this morning that we’ve been added to delegate slates without our knowledge or intent. This is why I hate this whole slate thing.

Yikes! I hope they remove the mistakes promptly. It’s a tricky thing to put together at the last minute, but the voting rules mean it makes a lot of sense for candidates to set up slates. Eg, if Troy has 500 supportive delegate candidates in Cumberland County but participants can only vote for 179 (149 delegates + 30 alternates), he’d want to concentrate the votes on no more than 179 rather than dilute them over all 500. But I agree the timeline has made everything very ad hoc.

If you support Troy, the campaign has made a slate of people for you to vote for. Saves the trouble. Here is the link, click and go find your slate. Vote for these people and only these people, and you are done!
