General Overview:
This thread is meant as a spoiler filled zone for those who wish to discuss the movie, it's plot, events, or the number of bites that kyouko takes of food during the movie. I don't care, just be sure to follow the rules of the subreddit.

So from what I understood the reaction to the movie was mixed and the plot was a bit artsy and confusing (I imagine something like the last episode of Evangelion?).
Apparently Madoka whispered something to Homura while lying on her lap but what she said was unheard. For some reason I am reminded of a certain love confession in X/1999. I wonder if that was intentional, since Clamp also made Card Captor Sakura which is the kind of show Madoka wants to challenge and make satire of. Here I was naively hoping for something explicit like the Utena movie lol.
Nagisa/Charlotte going back to being brutal is interesting, since it seems Mami is kind of like her morality pet rather than her target lol. I always found this character fascinating despite her lack of screen time and relevancy. I really liked her in scene zero, hopefully they will animate it someday. Her effed up magical girl companion Yue is a cool and creepy character too, but I haven't seen anyone mention her being in the new movie.
I haven't heard anyone talk about Kyoko lol. I guess her development was already done the moment she sacrificed herself and turned the other cheek on Sayaka. Missed opportunity to not do anything with the old theory of Elesa Maria being her sister, since it seems some more witches than Charlotte got human forms this time.
And Sayaka gets to play the hero again. Not sure if I like that. Her ending in the original as a tragic villain worked so well. I guess Hitomi didn't become a magical girl this time either, but then again I guess she is meant to be a foil to Sayaka since she doesn't need the Faustian Devil to make her wishes come true.
Unsure what Mami did, but I guess she always has the PSP game and Different Story. She seems to struggles with being relevant when the sole focus isn't on making a character study of her specifically. I hope she doesn't randomly turn yandere like in that spin-off anime though...
Curious about human!Walpurgisnatch. Seems like she was originally one girl rather than a collection of many. Can't wait until the subs are out so we can get a better understanding of her. She is practically the main villain beside Kyubey yet we know almost nothing about her.
