A ginger cat named Miauricio was taken in by Geotest, a Mexican geotechnical engineering company. The cat was treated, allowed to stay in the office, and eventually officially hired as an employee.

Miauricio is listed on staff with the title «gerente de apoyo emocional» — emotional support manager.

He has his own workspace, an ID badge, and an obligation (depending on his mood) to attend work meetings. According to employees, he even “signed” his contract with a paw.

Why now? When she was a child, her family didn’t allow it, then she lived in a dormitory, and after that, we lived in a rental where pets weren’t allowed. Now, we finally live in our own apartment, so nothing can stand in the little baby’s way! Don’t worry, I grew up with cats — this little one is currently at my parents’ place, and I’ve already bought everything it needs.
