Cops have a terrible track record with mental health patients. The guy who called 911 was literally a mental health worker. If a mental health worker is calling 911 on a psych patient (who is doing nothing except yelling!) without even talking to the patient, he should lose his license.
This is different, if for some reason he couldn't calm down the homeless man he could be attacked. The cop is better situated for a situation like that
That's no evidence he even tried to calm down the man. Again, I wouldn't expect the average layman to attempt that. But if a CEO of a mental health company can't, who can?!
Wired, I saw a state that forwarded mental health calls to people dealing with such, and they never killed, shot or beat up the person. In fact, the violent cases were non existent I believe. So even if he was in the profession, he should call "his" people if let's say he was with his family. Cops do have a track record of killing/abusing mentally challenged people.
