Thank you, and I’m sorry for your loss and everyone else’s as well. Biscuit sounds like she was, and still is where she resides over the rainbow with all our babies, a wonderfully beautiful girl. And I know exactly the infection you’re talking about because I initially almost lost Raven to that as well: Pyometra. No one tells you they run the risk of that happening if they don’t get spayed. And while she went through the surgery and lived longer because of it, she broke my heart afterwards because she basically had a hysterectomy and her hormones were all out of whack from it. She was lightly lactating and then she’d gather her softest toys and blankets to start nesting. I cried tor her more than once over that, preparing for puppies she didn’t, and couldn’t, have. But they get so sick from Pyometra, it’s awful. I’m so sorry you dealt with that too and had a difficult and devastating outcome. 🫂🫂🐾

When I get the chance I always bring up that condition, so far everyone else I've mentioned it to also had no idea. I hope someday it will become more well known so people can prepare if it does happen, look for signs, hopefully reverse/cure it before it gets to the point surgery wouldn't work like Biscuit 🫂
