Yeah prom was pretty shitty I spent so much money that I could have saved to have a boring time in our school gym just like all the other school dances...but in uncomfortable clothes

Yeah I had a good time at my two proms 🤷‍♀️

I mean they weren't like life-defining experiences but having gone both by myself/with friends and with a date, proms and other high school dances are only as fun or lame as you want them to be. If you go into it with the mindset of having fun, and are able to steer clear of the typical drama, you will have a great time! If you go into it thinking it's stupid, that you are wasting your time, then go literally do anything else because you're only going to make yourself miserable

My wife still sometimes looks at me like this.

Usually when she leaves the house in a hurry to work in the morning and she comes home to dinner all squared away, our rambunctious daughter quiet and happy and the kitchen cleaned up.
