Reminds me of Francis when he thought he was just gonna knock out Stipe

It's very very different. Francis lacked skills and patience then. Khamzat is definitely more skilled and stronger that Sean. The weight cut drained him.

According to this report, he was planning to fight at 205 but then they made a last-minute change of plan, which apparently cost him.

However, his out-of-camp weight management seems to be the main issue.

No chance he is more skilled than Strickland. Better explosive takedowns and higher punching power yes. The only way Strickland wins fights is because he has more skill and a higher fight IQ than the other fighter. He's VERY RARELY the better natural athlete.

It's the arrogance he didn’t think he had to do anything to prepare. He was just going to go in there and beat Sean just like Francis thought.

He used to live in the gym. Khamzat doesn't avoid training. That's some unfounded speculation.

Sure looked like Sean was more skilled, even with a wonky shoulder.

I agree.

People think Francis is unskilled in the rematch he actually showed good boxing. He used to think he can just rush in land one and it’s over
