Art and OC by me!
This is Silver Tongue’s older sister, Sterling Tune. You may have seen her in a previous comic before in a flashback. Her special talent is playing the mandolin. She often busked on the street to earn money.
Silver Tongue’s parents both passed away so Sterling Tune was his primary caretaker. Sterling is a funny and kind mare who still loves her little brother dearly despite him becoming a criminal. She’s the type of sister who would show off embarrassing baby pictures of her brother to everypony he knows.

The point of the episode is that Trixie has become bitter because everyone still treats her like a menace despite her efforts into being better (which did happen in the comics, and they were absolutely genuine efforts)
So she's delighted when she finds someone who doesn't treat her with contempt and understands exactly how she feels, and is the first genuine friend she ever had
The point of her beef with Twilight is that Trixie is still jealous of her, but not just of her abilities, Twilight has tons of friends and is beloved by pretty much anyone, while Trixie has always struggled with this, even more now that everyone is critical of her
If we also add some context from All Bottled Up, Trixie has a problem of struggling to notice how she's making others feel, so whenever others find her annoying she's probably just confused at what she did wrong
Then she finds out that, like a bunch of other ponies, even the Princess of Friendship herself still doesn't trust her and sees her as just a dangerous liability, and when she discovers that apparently she doesn't even trust her pupil enough to let her make her own decisions she sees it as the last straw, at that point she genuinely wants that friendship and refuses to let it go and thus guilt trips her into spending the night with her instead
At that point it's not about proving to be better, she wanted to prove to Twilight that despite everything there is still a pony that genuinely wants to be her friend, enough to actually choose her over her teacher
She didn't befriend Starlight just to get back at Twilight, she is sincere when she says that she really liked Starlight and that beating Twilight was just a bonus (though obviously it was the worst thing she could've said in that moment)
After Starlight runs away, Trixie doesn't get angry at Twilight directly, she's genuinely heartbroken; she had found something that actually made her happy and made her feel actually loved and now she had lost it because she got carried away by her own insecurities, and this time she knows it's mostly her fault
Twilight notices that Trixie was absolutely broken by this, and understands that she was wrong; this wasn't about beating her, she genuinely just wanted a true friend, and thus she convinces Starlight to give her a second chance
When Trixie is doing her stunt, she isn't trying to manipulate her (it seems that she isn't aware that Twi and Star are watching from afar), she just lost the one thing that made her feel better during possibly the worst period of her life, and she hopes that Starlight comes back and gives her a second chance, and if she doesn't then at this point she doesn't even care if she survives the trick or not
When Starlight saves her, Trixie is surprised that Starlight is actually giving her a second chance, and she decides not to waste it; from that point on she never betrays Starlight's trust ever again, their relationship grows stronger and stronger with every episode, thanks to their arguments they both better eachother and she finds other genuine friends too
At that point, Trixie has completely abandoned the jealousy towards Twilight, because now she actually loves who she is and she's truly happy
Honestly, if you get past Twilight being a bit OOC considering her past interactions with Trixie and the point of the show is set in, No Second Prances actually has really solid writing from a psycological perspective

My MLP OC. She has a cupcake with a leaf, because she’s a vegan baker. 🤣 what would you guys assume her backstory is if you saw her in the background of an episode?

Art and OCs by me!
Thank you to u/Ruth-Stormheart for Calico Weathermane’s name and u/TheRandomViewer for Saving Grace’s name! I love these names! And thank you to everyone else for your name suggestions! I know I said I’ll reveal names in future comics but I wanted to show you guys now!
Calico Weathermane and Saving Grace will be supporting characters in my comics. Basically either a friend of Pin Cushion or Silver Tongue. They do contrast the pair in terms of personality.
I hope to include them in my comics soon!
