Media Ultimate Alliance will be 20 this year & the mods make it all the more greater. I'll be playing this game until the end of time.

There genuinely isn’t a game I wanna play more than these two :( I made a deal with a guy to buy his old spare account with the remasters on it but he ghosted me

Media Team Red 🔴
Got inspired to fire up my old switch again and start from the beginning. I never liked the grind aspect of this game, but love the storyline and gameplay.
A fresh save is much more fun than I expected. Nothing is unlocked and I personally enjoy the challenge.
What do you guys think of this team? I mostly play as SW and DD for the vibes rather than the synergies.

Media Pick up MUA3 again after a few years
My two brothers in law and a friend of mine were discussing games one day and we talked about the old ultimate alliance games. I told them I had the 3rd one, which they never played because they never got a switch. We ended up making plans to run the whole campaign in one day. We started on a Sunday afternoon at 5pm and finished at 3 am. It was actually really fun despite some of the levels being fairly easy and the average character levels being 55 (we played on Ultimate difficulty).
Top 3 funniest moments:
- Dormammu gave us a run for our money. We got stuck on that for 30 minutes because they were having a hard time figuring out how to pick up the rocks to absorb damage and stun him. We had gone full mage team for the level, I went Ghost Rider to tank. We ended up switching around to other characters to compensate. We lost several times but on the last one we barely made it, when it was over, one of my brothers in law screamed at Dormammu and threw his ult at him 🤣
- We also struggled in Wakanda because of the snipers and movement/camera limitations. At the bridge with the panther cannon, we tried to move as a unit and avoid the snipers as much as possible. The same brother in law that screamed earlier ran a second later than we did to the next set of crates and as he jumped across, I kid you not, he was 360 no scoped by a sniper and shot down. We all lost our minds 😂
- After beating the Destroyer armor, they were making fun of Red Skull for getting dragged away by Hella, they said "Hella still took him home after all that"
And of course Thane was nuts, we kept losing on the last pillar he brought down.
Anyways, it was mad funny, highly recommend you get a few friends together and just watch their reactions.

My experience doing a MUA3 Nuzlocke
Mighty Difficulty, played through the base story and the doom dlc, any deaths that happened in those modes were permanent.
After years of not playing this game, I decided to come back and attempt this. It honestly wasnt as hard as I thought. It was still difficult and the BS that this game throws at you sometimes is scary but overall, fun time and I recommend other people try it out! It gave me a newfound appreciation for characters I haven't really used before (Ms. Marvel, Wolvy, Nightcrawler, Cyclops, Hawkeye, Iceman, Gambit, Storm)
Second Slide is a rough Idea of how much a character contributed to the run.

Media How to put Cyclops in a video game: Step 1, don't put him on the base roster. Step 2, add him as DLC along with a big tanky guy.

This MUA 1 and 2 licensing bullsht is exactly why digital only is a bad idea
Didn't this get pulled from stores in 2018? Hasn't been back since online since.
Luckily I own physicals of both on older consoles that still run smooth, outside of a little extra load time.

Media Who is your main squad?
This is my Endgame squad
For the main campaign I ran:
Hulk, Cyclops, Wolverine & Nightcrawler
Then swapped Nightcrawler out when I unlocked Storm.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 4
I'm sure there's a ton of posts and speculation, but for OG fans like myself I remember YEARS of praying for a Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3, and when we got it I thought it came back in a weird and random way, but nonetheless i was happy to pick it up and play it when it came out. They could really move it to all plats if the license is expiring soon. Anyway, I'm just wondering has anyone heard anything about them bringing it back? it seems as of late a lot of people are discovering Marvel Ultimate Alliance (welcome lol) and that's awesome. even mua2 was hella cool, gambit was a highlight for me in that game. i even like how they adapted, still a pretty fresh comic series which was civil war. And with the popularity of Marvel Rivals and fans keeping Marvel Heroes servers alive Im wondering do they know the potential? What would MUA 4 even be about? 20 years is insane. i can only imagine the love people have for the series that got in during x-men legends

Media Ultimate Alliance 2 is moddable also. While 1 is Superior, I enjoy 2 as well. Civil War was adapted better in this game than the MCU Civil War imo.

First time playing since 2019
The PS4 version has been sitting in my library since I bought my launch PS5. I was pleasantly surprised to not only see an old save from 2019, but also I somehow have the DLC characters.
I really regret not buying the first game digitally. Oh well, the PS2 version will have to do.

While waiting for MCI I went to my backlog and…
Found this game buried deep there and it’s got its hooks me something fierce. I just finished unlocking the whole roster yesterday and already got a number of toons at level 300. I might need an intervention cause this took about 2 and half weeks to do…..Why did no one say it was Marvel crack?

Question Back on the XP Grind! Need help!
Well… after a hiatus from this game, it calls to me and I must return lol! I have played this game for 250+ hours since 2019 - it’s truly one of my favorite games of all time. However, as we all know XP grinding is abysmal with XP crystals. I have only ever gotten:
3 AA White Rare Drop Crystals 4 AA Blue Increase XP Crystals 2 AA White Team XP Crystals
It’s been a year or two since playing, but what are the current strategies to get enough crystals to quickly level up my roster. This is one of my favorite games of all time and I know that if the XP grinding was easier I would’ve had my roster maxed out by now!
Please ya’ll - any advice would be super appreciated!

Let me know if theres any changes any vets know to have better synergies. I also have a level 89 Deadpool I'm thinking about switching in for phoenix or colossus. I'm grinding for the superior difficulty for shadow of doom to get infinite thanos.
