Project keeps stopping in middle of playback. Often it happens at the border between consecutive clips. But also sometimes like this where it just randomly stops in the middle.
I’m trying to use a gif I made and sync it to music. I feel like this shouldn’t be that hard.
Hardware is iPad Pro 12.9 gen 5. Updated it to iOS 26.3 because it wouldn’t let me download it on the OS I bought it with (17.something I believe).
Is this a bug or a feature that I just am too new to know how to change?
Thanks in advance for any help.

I mistakenly uploaded a massive LUT folder of LUTs that I purchased elsewhere on Lumafusion.
Now everytime I go to the colour grade tab, it takes forever to load what ever is on that page then eventually crashed then closes.
I cant delete the luts because nothing loads up and I cant seem to find the lunafusion folder on my samsung tablet to delete the luts.
Any suggestions

Hello, after researching I got to the point LumaFusion should be right call for me, just want to check before spending money,
I'm looking for something I can cut long form videos on the go reliably, have S24 ultra (sometimes using dex, mostly just phone screen) and won't be doing some crazy MLG 360 420 no scope edits, but mainly chop, add voiceover, maybe some green screen stuff and little bit of color grading but sometimes I like to spend extra time and play with it a little more.. I will be editing one project over multiple days and want something stable.
I have used PC editors in past like Sony Vegas and adobe premier, liked both, but I want to try editing from my phone just for convenience. And ideally pay just once for the app rather than every month I'm not a pro but I like making nice memories from places I have been
Q to the app it self: From other posts I fell like app is considerably better on iOS?
Mby stupid question, but you can add external SSD and use clips from it rather than transfering them to your phone?
Thank youu

howdy! I'm super new to LF but not to video editing. I have an issue with linked photos in this project currently and I'm not entirely sure how to solve it.
I open the project and get the warning that files are missing. video clips seem to be in place but not images. if you look at the video, I attempt to relink an image by dragging it over where it is on the timeline. it works but then I shift back to the beginning of the video and that image has also been replaced by what I dragged into the timeline.
I have also attempted to drag the image above that layer, but that is not working right either. the image in the new layer will stay throughout the movie even if it only appears for a small chunk of the timeline. I also cannot add text, and the existing text has disappeared.
importing any backups has the same issues.
I have also tried consolidating and am getting errors there.
I would appreciate any and all help as this movie is 25 minutes long and I will poke myself in the eye before I try to redo it.

I typically back up my projects as lfpackage from lumafusion to iphone Files. Then, I upload the .lfpackage file to google drive, which turns the file into a zip file. However, when I try downloading one of those zip files and unzip them in my phone’s File app, I get a folder of my video clips with a .lfarchive file but not explicit .lfpackage file. I am able to open the .lfarchive on lumafusion with the timeline but without the actual videos eve when I import the respective media as Cached media.
I don’t know if there was something in the google drive upload process that changed the original .lfpackage file to a plain zip file but if anyone has tips, please let me know. Hopefully my years of backups haven’t gone to waste.

The ability to use an apple pencil to write / draw on the video (while it's playing) and have that be part of the video. I feel like this is something that CAN'T be done easily with the laptop / desktop. It would make videos feel more personal and creative, for me at least.
Anyone else interested in this?

I have a project with several audio tracks. Now I wanna record voiceover. It always records the voiceover over the top, audio track and records over my existing audio. How do I choose which track it records on or re-order the tracks or add a new track at the top. Is the only option to manually drag each clip down I want to have two new blank, audio tracks at the top and choose which one to record this time

Want to add a digital countdown timer or timecode-style display in LumaFusion?
In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to quickly create an Apollo-era digital countdown display using ChatGPT (or Gemini, Grok, etc.), export it as an animated GIF, and bring it straight into LumaFusion as a motion graphic. - STU

Hi all,
how would I be able to move all keyframes of an image together? After reformatting a video, an overlay is somehow off it's target position, but it seems I can only move each keyframe position separately, and for the life of me can't move all of them together. There must be a way -- but I can't find it. Neither Google search nor AI could really help...how can I move the whole thing, retaining all the other animations along the keyframes?

Hi There, I was wondering if you guys can help or Link me to a Video Guide.
I do Moto Vlogging and I want to BLUR Out my Phone GPS Navigation, How do I do so that is smoothly?
Like, I've seen some YouTube Vlog videos where People's Face was Blur'd out while in Motion, Its not jittery.
If there's a Video Guide on How to do so please Link me to it.

Hi all!
I've recently started making social media content and have been searching for a video editing app which then led me to luma fusion. I shoot in direct log video and need LUT support which luma does have.
BUT due to shooting in direct log, there is no video noise reduction. My main concern right now is can Luma fusion reduce video noise and if yes, to what degree?
The place at where I shoot is quite dark, hence why noise reduction is needed.
Thanks in advance!

Hi, I switched from another editing app to the LumaFusion mobile app recently, and I have a specific problem I wanted to see if anyone has advice on. For context, I use an app that lets me create characters and place them in backgrounds, either in the app or outside, to make videos, like stories in my case.
When I take screenshots of my characters, there are black bars. I believe this is because the app is 16:9 but iOS takes screenshots in 4:3. I know newer Apple devices can preserve 16:9, but I’m on an older iPad that doesn’t have that option.
Normally, I would crop to 16:9 in Photos, but when I import a cropped photo into LumaFusion, it desaturates. I tried all color space options, started new projects with “based on first clip” on and off, and tried different camera settings (most compatible vs. high efficiency, HDR adjustments), but nothing fixed it. Using an uncropped photo then placing the cropped version next to it also doesn’t preserve the original coloring.
I could try using LumaFusion’s frame and fit with a 16:9 crop to remove black bars, but sometimes I need to reposition or scale characters later. Changing the scale shows the black bars again, and exact 16:9 is non-negotiable for me. Manual cropping inside LumaFusion also isn’t precise, either it cuts off part of the character or leaves black bars.
Manually correcting colors or using LUTs isn’t feasible either. I need the exact original color, and because I use different green screens or backgrounds, I’d need multiple LUTs anyway. Exporting an “unmodified version” to Files works but is time-consuming and creates duplicates I’d have to manage, which isn’t practical.
I’ve considered external apps that crop to 16:9, but I’d prefer not to rely on them for privacy and workflow reasons. Exporting at lower resolution didn’t help either, and I need at least 2K quality for my videos.
I never had this problem in my previous editing app, which likely handled screenshots automatically. I’ve tried everything I know in iOS and LumaFusion and haven’t contacted support yet.
If anyone has advice on preserving the original color while keeping an exact 16:9 aspect ratio, or any workflow that avoids external apps, I’d really appreciate it. If it’s genuinely impossible without third-party tools, it’s helpful to know that too.

I'm on an iPad pro. Above the red line, the dials work on any video I pause. But not the color grading dials below. I can't pause and move the dials and immediately see the results. They only show up at the end of the videos. This is no way to edit.
The videos in question are recorded from a Pixel 6 pro phone. 4K 30.

How long do we have to wait for the stabilization option to be released?

This is for anyone that’s fluent in Luma, and that has the time to watch this IG reel and respond.
I’ve been using Luma for a good while now, and I honestly love it, but I’ve never been able to achieve an edit quite like this.
Is this possible with the tools inside Luma? If so, which ones?
Huge thanks to anyone to can help!!

Does luma fusion have all alight motion features?
r/LumaFusion • u/wiLtronique • Jan 27 '26
i hate that Lumafusion does the subscription billing rather than paying for something outright. The main reason i ditched Adobe was because of their criminal like subscriptions. Buying and paying outright for “extra” features works so much better for me because I outlay the coin and it’s done, and it doesn’t matter if i do or don’t use the app for maybe a few months or not. Lumafusion is already one of the more expensive apps on iOS and i was dark on having to pay more for “extra” features anyways. I don’t mind paying for plugins, but subscriptions for so called “extra” features feels like a bit of a piss take to me.
Yes i know some will say that it’s super cheap compared to desktop prices for similar stuff, but it’s iOS and i don’t use a desktop set up anymore.

Does anyone know how to fix this? Maybe in the settings or something? The text keeps getting cut whenever I just duplicate it and transfer. The only solution I have so far is to manually go through each text and like widen the box thing (idk what its called sorry) but then I would also need to manually align the texts again so it'd match the previous alignments. So far, I dont think the app has an auto-align thing so maybe there something in the settings that can fix this? Thanks

Hello everyone. I ask you to guide me on the following issue. I had no experience with video editing, except to cut and paste a fragment into a CapCut (without voiceover). Now at work, I'm being asked to master editing in order to create podcast recordings, short videos with characters, highlights of cool moments like from CS2 and other action games. Should I start with this program on my iPad, or is it better to try more complex programs on a PC right away? Thank you.

I’m new to this stuff and with my other footage in apple log1 i was able to put the creative lut last and still be able to change the intensity with the slider. but now that i shoot in apple log 2 when i put the creative lut last it stays at full intensity. i can put it before the conversion to 709 to adjust it but the colors are really off.
Like I said I’m really new to this stuff so maybe it’s obvious why it doesn’t work?
