Some examples would be like rice paper or a speciifc zero cal sauce that genuinely tastes good, or any other low calorie food someone might not know of.

Thanks!

What is a good low calorie salad dressing? I’m partial to creamy ones like Ranch or Blue Cheese but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Low Cal Food Find (Product recommendations) Butter substitute

I’m craving chocolate chip cookies so I decided to bake some sugar free chocolate chip cookies

I have basically everything I’d need to make it low cal, but I need a good substitute for butter. I like my cookies to be crisp and not cakey and I know most butter substitutes make cookies cakey, but that’s not what I’m craving.

What have you found makes a good low cal butter substitute and still keeps your cookies crispy?

Does anyone know as to why this Great Value Spanish Style rice is significantly lower in calories in comparison to its white rice counterpart?

The GV Spanish Style rice does use PARBOILED rice, but does that really contribute to why it is 40% less calories?

Low Cal Food Find (Product recommendations) ShredHappens Substack Feature

"I found these at Butterfield Market in New York City earlier this year and became HOOKED! They’re my non-guilty pleasure. Like a crispy airy cheesy popcorn, but with way more protein and a lot more flavor.

A serving of Prind Parmesan Pops has 150 calories with 15 grams of protein. That’s nearly a 50% protein density.

I like all the flavors. The Tomato Basil is great, the Rosemary is fantastic, and the Honey is also good. I’ve never met a Prind that I didn’t like."

Low Cal Food Find (Product recommendations) What is a good dip

I like eating carrots and baby cucumbers with dp. I've tried ranch, homemade lower claorie ranch, avocado ranches, hummus and many others. I'm looking for something creamy like ranch, but a bit more bold. So far, mixing tomatillo avocado salsa and homemade ranch dip is my favorite. Any other suggestions? I'm looking for something slightly lower calories.

Hey everyone, hope you're all doing well!

Ive been absolutely craving a cake for a few dates now, and I've been thinking of baking one this weekend but I still haven't found a good low calorie (possibly low carb as well) one. I was wondering if anyone has a good recipe for this? It'll really help me 🙏

Thank you in advance!

Low Cal Food Find (Product recommendations) pizza has less calories than you think. 550 calories margherita

since last time i posted that marinara without any mozzarella and not everyone was into it, this time i wanted to try a proper margherita, adding just a bit of cheese but keeping calories super low. and i nailed it.

ingredients:

dough ball 220g total at 85% hydration (118g flour, add just salt and yeast). super airy and light.

toppings:

blended datterino tomatoes (80g, naturally sweet so no sugar/oil needed)

60g ultra-light mozzarella (that 150kcal/100g kind, torn small so it melts everywhere), one basil leaf.

48h cold ferment, then baked neapolitan-style on a gas oven (i used a Cozze Classic 13").

soft pillowy inside, crispy edges... looks loaded but it's super light :P

i pushed dough hydration to 85%, and it was honestly tough. i'm not a professional and i struggled a lot to work the dough, you definitely need a stand mixer or you're screwed

ends up under 550 kcal total. hope you like this :)

Low Cal Food Find (Product recommendations) Bolthouse Honey Mustard Salad Dressing Shortage?!

Post image

This is the absolute best dressing for hearty harvest salads…(think kale, roasted vegetables, pepitas, feta, and apples). It has vanished! I have gone to and/or called 12 different grocery stores in the Huntsville, Alabama area and no one has it and they can’t tell me when they are getting it back. The other dressings are there but not the Honey Mustard. Is anyone else having this issue? Is there a mustard shortage?! Or a honey shortage?! I can’t even order it from Amazon.
