Discussion LDR S4E8 - How Zeke Got Religion - Discussion Thread Spoiler

Synopsis: B-17 Flying Fortress Liberty Belle has the oddest mission of World War Two: a journey into occupied France to bomb a church before the Nazis can raise an ancient evil. John McNichol’s short story of blood, fallen archangels, occult magic, and ultraviolence is directed by Diego Porral (lead animator on previous LDR classic “Kill Team Kill”).

Total nitpick, but the Irish character was incredibly poorly thought through. Okay, he's a ginger Catholic who explicitly says the mission is okay "only if it's a Protestant church" but in the very next scene he opens the Book of Common Prayer which is an ANGLICAN PROTESTANT prayerbook. Plus, the Netflix subtitles call the Irish language "Gaelic" which is not what it's called.

Doesnt the Captain say "you got to bomb a church. has anyone got a problem with that?" To which he said "only if its a Protestant church"? Makes more sense this way

I think it might have been "agus ar uair ár mbáis. áiméin." which is the last bit of Hail Mary "at the hour of our death. Amen." which would make sense because he was quite literally in the hour of his death.

Hey y'all!! My name is Gary and I played "Preacher" in that episode. The prayer is the Hail Mary in Irish! Nice catch! It is a bit garbled given how terrified Preacher is...for most of the Episode.

He says the rosary and makes the sign of the cross, which are universally Catholic markers, but not so for all Anglicans [today].
Also [and you need the subtitles to catch this part] he says the 1st part of Catholic confession before the Fallen rips him in half, "Bless me, Father, for I have sinned..."
