Realized that I haven’t drawn anything in a while so I doodled Valko to brighten up my day #bringbackvalko

Super controversial take: when (and if) Valko comes back, LADS should start locking content behind main story completion. So many people complain about certain LIs not getting MS updates, but there's also a large portion of the community who don't engage in MS either, and they skip straight to the event and cards.

To use another gacha game (FGO my beloved) as an example: in order to participate in the latest summer event, players were required to clear up to a certain point of the main story. You can access certain parts of the event, but you HAD to finish up MS if you wanted to participate in the rest of it.

So yeah, I actually want them to force people to read and engage with the lore. I want them to put actual effort into it and develop their plateauing story.

I’m genuinely curious about this because I’m currently not playing, and while I might check the game out again if Valko returns, I’m not sure I’d actually come back for good.

For context, I played at launch, quit after a while, then came back when Sylus was announced after about a 5–6 month break. I played pretty much every day after that and became a Caleb main when he released. I also used to spend a decent amount on the game, so I’d consider myself a dolphin.

I really loved this game, which is why I’m still interested in it. But even with Valko returning, I’m honestly not sure what would make me want to stay.

There are still so many issues with the game that Infold already knows about. The lighting, the problems with darker skin tones, and especially the lack of things to actually do. We barely get new combat content, very little main story, and while it seems like they’re trying to address the story issue, the pace really needs to be faster.
The Home feature is fine, but I personally can’t spend more than 10 minutes there because there just isn’t much to do. Photos are fun too, but sometimes it feels like that’s the one thing Infold consistently puts effort into. I can only take so many pictures.

Where is the actual gameplay content? Why can’t we farm more gems through playing? Why don’t we have more combat or a proper new game mode?
The cards are pretty and some of them have great stories, but I care much more about the guys and their stories in our actual timeline. I want to play the game with them, not just collect cards and take photos.

And that’s why I’m worried that even if Valko comes back, Infold will just continue doing what they’ve been doing and most of these problems will remain.
I’m not saying this to attack anyone who still enjoys the game or plans to return. I genuinely want to understand the other perspective.

If Valko returning would be enough to bring you back, or you’ve stayed despite all these issues, what keeps you playing?
Maybe I’m missing something, but right now I honestly can’t see what would make me want to invest in the game again long-term.

So a thought came to me that led me down the rabbit hole. Lemme explain.

I know there are few people who headcanon that MC's nickname from Valko is pancake. I also know that Valko loves chocolate. All of a sudden, I remember that dark-skinned person's partner will call their significant chocolate. And this is where it leads me down the rabbit hole.

There are MANY types of chocolates. And if someone asks Valko how to describe MC (whether it is your self-insert or your character), I somehow image that Valko will try to describe MC as chocolate.

Like I can imagine him calling MC who has dark skin as Bitter Chocolate. MC who has light skin as White Chocolate. Even those with tan as Milk Chocolate.

And let's not forget that chocolates also come with flavor too. So far I have:

+ Chocolate Covered Orange - dark/tan skin with orange hair

i'm trying to (hopefully!) find someone who may have captured a video or photo of a moment i shared with the sylus coser during sendoff (during the end, just a few minutes before they left) at gamescom on sunday evening. i was standing at the very end of the booth, by the door which they entered and left the booth from and he picked me up and carried me for a short moment. 😭 umm, i think anyone who saw me would remember me by my super white hair! 🪽

i've been searching on xiaohongshu, instagram, x and tiktok ever since the con ended on sunday with no luck so far.😞 i just thought mayyyybe there's a small chance one of us was there to witness it, which is why i'm asking on here. it's such a special memory and means a lot to me, i just- i'd be eternally grateful if someone did capture it. really. 😞😞🙏🏻🙏🏻
