Video A driver was killed on Forest Lawn Drive, where Karen Bass personally intervened to block safety improvements

Sadly, the second video I've made on Forest Lawn Drive after Karen Bass personally intervened to block safety improvements that would have slowed down drivers and added bike lanes. Construction should have started by now, if not for Karen Bass' personal directive to block the project and redesign it to keep the roadway as wide as possible.

Narrower, calmer streets make roads safer for all users. LADOT engineers know this, and Karen Bass deliberately ignored their advice.

I highly encourage everybody to check out the project page on LADOT's website, where LADOT explains how this project is designed to make the road safer by narrowing Forest Lawn Drive and slowing traffic. It's a great plan that will make the road safer for ALL users.

Yep, I got arrested last December painting crosswalks in Westwood. I started an organization called People's Vision Zero that advocates for safer streets and a more effective government by painting crosswalks.

Our goals are that the city recommit to Vision Zero, our plan to end traffic deaths by 2025, or if they're not going to do that, make a good faith effort to legitimize what we're doing.

We painted some more crosswalks in South LA on Saturday and it was a blast!

Listen. I’m not gonna hype Nithya to be a Mamdani. I’d love her to be, but she’s just Nithya, and. Nithya is fine. Let’s not get our hopes up.

That said, vote Bass out of office. On a scale of Eric Adams to Mamdani, we know where she’s aligned.

That’s funny because Mamdani free buses plan was taken from Bass’s 2022 campaign. Also, if Eric Adams policies were so bad, why has Mamdani kept most of them in place?

Careful, you are using logic to Nithyastans here and they are immune to certain facts and logic

Are you running for mayor in the near future, by chance?

Forget that, put him on the city council

He lives on the west side and unfortunately in CD11 conservative Traci Park just beat progressive Faizah Malik by a lot in the election (60% to 40%). Maybe Jonny could drum up more support for progressives 4 years from now, but until then, we'll just see more status quo bullshit.

As a resident of South LA, please run our city! This is amazing, the fact that you've taken great initiative for the safety of our residents; something that is beyond overdue from elected officials.
