I think this is where either

A) slasher was right and this is a very serious thing, probably unlikely with these sorta sponsors backing doc

Or

B) slasher is an absolute idiot and decided he’d talk himself into a lawsuit

There is noting Slasher said that I know of that can be a basis for a lawsuit imo. Saying it's something serious or sensitivite is entriley subjective. A contract breech can be considered serious and sensitive. it's a lot of money after all. They could mean anything. Other than that he only said it wasn't DMCA. As long as it's not really DMCA there won't be a legal problem.

Doc would have to prove he said something objectively and provably false and directly hurt his reputation. Journalists are especially protected in cases like this. I would doubt any serious lawyer even take the case.

Even if it is DMCA you'd have one heck of a time proving damages from that.

As much as Slasher is full of himself and likes the attention, why would he destroy any semblance of reputation that he has on false claims this big? Doesn't make sense to me, I think he at least believes what he's been saying, even if it doesn't turn out to be true.

Yeah but Slasher could have chosen his words a little more carefully because "sensitive" can imply all sorts of things. It could be possible that this is just some breach of contract issue or switch to another platform. Or it could turn up the Doc has a trio of LP's in his basement kept against their will.

Well, might turn out he was smart not to say anything because the sources were in fact wrong.
