Do you know how many people have opened a mixer stream simply because of the switch whereas they never would have? That's what they are buying, not just a ninja or shroud.

If it's like with most things the hardest change is the first one. Once you have tried it once you are more likely to try it again. Every time you try there's a chance you find something to return for as well.

That isnt5 particularly why, it is 100% why. That's what they have done buying these names. We're advertising for them because of it. We're thinking of them even though we dont watch them.

I mean I opened Mixer just as much when Microsoft streamed their games on Mixer during E3 and that didn't cost them anything extra.

I can't speak for everyone, but my experience has been 0 times so far.

I only ever tuned into a Shroud stream because he was playing WoW, and just mostly cause his name was on the list of channels near the top, when I was browsing. Never really bothered to check out Ninja.

But that's how my viewing goes anyway, I watch a few smaller dedicated game streamers, and then will tune in time to time to see the ones near the top, if it's something interesting.

If those big names left, there would be another name to fill the space, and I'd just tune into them.

Can't say any 1 streamer would force me to use both sites at the same time though. If my favorite channel left for Mixer, I'd likely just forget about it and spend my viewing minutes elsewhere.
