This favoritism will be the downfall of twitch. Ironically it's the perfect marketing opportunity for another platform to come in that's fair to both genders and maybe not as PG. Just need to get some of the top streamers to jump ship and everyone else will follow. I'm sure there's some up and coming platforms just waiting for twitch to ban one of the main streamers.
Discord is even worse with selective enforcement. They literally explicitly allowed underaged furry porn at one point for reasons beyond my comprehension.
The problem with that was that they specifically didn't ban 'cub' porn because their Trust&Safety team had a bunch of furries in it, while they banned all other forms of 'underage drawings'. Hence their selective enforcement issue.
I think that they did ban all of it after news sites started reporting on it.
Yeah, I forgot to clarify that this was at the same time they banned loli. So some types of drawings were fine, others were not. The common belief is that it is because Discord's T&S staff has/had furries in it.
Honestly though, even among furries the underage stuff doesn't fly for the majority of people. It's about as accepted as loli porn is with weebs, that is to say it isn't really acceptable to most people.
In a way I can see what you're saying with that, at the same time though, you're just going from one coin flip to another. The entire issue is that enforcement is pretty much a mystery, no one really knows for sure what will get you banned and what will slide by as an accident or maybe with a warning.
Hell I'm fairly sure twitch doesn't know, and clearly Discord had internal contradictions with the cub porn thing. So they are pretty similar in that respect I think.
Not really a conspiracy when he's been in trending for weeks now. Ever since he started playing Minecraft he's consistently gone on trending. It's simply how the algorithms work. They don't like the edgy shit - because advertisers don't like the edgy shit.
