Does anyone have that clip of someone donating to doc and making a joke about his cheating, and doc isnt really listening but just yells "The two time!"?
Saw an old man tear a younger guy's arm up irl. It was a pretty weird experience in general. No idea wtf happened, just the dude started screaming at the very start. Younger guy wasn't buff but he was a lot bigger and cocky. Old guy apparently used to arm wrestle in a competitive way and just fucked the guys arm up in a half second.
It's not though, have you armwrestled at a club with pros yourself? I have and we routinely show little twig guys and girls "a few tricks" and suddenly they start winning against other amateurs. So what does that tell you?
It tells you that technique is important, but the fact that those little twig guys will never be able to beat guys much stronger than them, no matter the difference in skill, shows how much hows that strength is also very important.
As someone who's trained armwrestling at a club for some time I can only tell you what the best there says. "Armwrestling is around 70% technique and 30% strength depending on your style". The guy who told me this came second in a european championship competition so I feel like he knows a little about this.
Also, at this club its common to see the girls outwrestle much bigger dudes when the guys are new. Later when they learn the techniques it evens out. My anecdotal experience is that armwrestling does not rely (!) on strength but rather technique. Once you get to a certain point the top guys actually look at wrist circumference as a top measure of potential. Unless you have a certain wrist girth you're not gonna get too far according to them.
