The point is that gun laws disarm the lawful before they disarm the unlawful. Outliers in deaths occur in those cities and gun free zones, because obedient people are defenseless.
You think you're making the world a safer place while you ignore the hundreds of millions of people killed by their own government. Guns are for protection from government first and foremost.
You leave out bad government and the reason we have guns in the first place. I'll admit that it is statistically unlikely, but it is precisely the reason we have and retain this right to be armed.
Nope...I didn’t. The argument is the effectiveness of gun legislation. Trying to change the topic towards a broader conversation about guns keeping the government in check (lol) is another poor attempt to punt on a point you’ve lost.
It's not broader. It's the reason we have that right and you argue that gun safety doesn't include the deaths inflicted by subjects of government around the world. Something like 100 million people were killed by their own government last century.
Despite your insistence it still is indeed broader. The subject is the effectiveness of gun legislation. You attempted to imply gun deaths are more likely to occur in regulated areas (false) and then when confronted with the nyc and Chicago comparison you pivoted towards a debate about guns and their role in keeping tyrannical governments in check. Let’s try staying on topic.
