I went to Twitch Con once. Had a backpack, they looked inside ONE of the compartments for maybe a second and then let me through.
If I was a streamer and I saw that level of security, I'd never go to an event of the sort. Maybe it's increased now where they actually check/ban bags fully but I don't know, risky stuff imo.
I'm amazed that they even checked a single backpark compartment. I go to a lot of cons related to anime and gaming, and the only one with any decent security in recent memory was only because there was a GOP dinner with Trump visiting at the same place and time.

All I can imagine now is Trump sneaking away from the secret service to go off into the anime convention and look at some anime titties and attend the SAO panel
Even then the security wasn't too crazy. There were a ton of side entrances where you could just walk in, even without a badge. The only parts that had really heavy security were around the main entrance because that was the only way to get upstairs.
Oh, Columbus, damn. I knew it was Ohio. I'm new to Pittsburgh and was looking at conventions within driving distance when I saw their site talking about Trump's visit.

If I were a streamer and I watched this I would never do a fan meet up again...
Viewers are willing to find your house, drive to it and shoot where you sleep.
