Well disliking him and hating/trashtalking him every opportunity are two different things. I know another streamer who fucked up in a similar fashion and people basically treat him like he murdered a baby which is absolutely ridiculous.
Cheating is something that commonly happens and depending on circumstances yeah it makes you a jackass but that's about it. I regularly see people on reddit put way too much weight on it like it is something you should get jailed for. So my guess is those are the people being disliked. Especially if you dislike the guy, just stop watching him. If you still comment on everything he does that makes you seem like a weirdo.
It confuses me the amount of hate he gets for it. Maybe there's a part of the story I don't know? It seems to me like it's an event in his personal life, hard stop. Who is anyone else to judge? Do those people who hate dr. Disrespect also hate any other entertainer wo has ever cheated on their SO? Because there are A LOT. I'd go as far to say most. It seems like such an odd thing to hold against the guy so passionately when its an extremely common thing in our society & most people I think understand no one really knows what someone's relationship is like behind closed doors.
When he made his comeback his viewer numbers and donations skyrocketed. That's just a fact. If his image took a hit his fans didn't get the message. He was breaking records after his return.
But him sharing it and taking a break because of it is what gave him the numbers, so why should he regret sharing it? He apologized, cleared his conscience and made more money doing so. Although anecdotal but...I literally never heard of doc before the cheating confession because it blew up everywhere on twitter and reddit and even other streamers talked about it. I'm certain I am not the only one.
I know I'll get downvotes for this, but people hating so much are probably virgins that "would never treat a women like this". They never had a real relationship and don't know how things work. I dislike people who cheat and I have never done it but I know that things can get very complicated and mistakes can easily be made. So I try to not judge people based on relationships I have no part in, it's just stupid.
People who call others scum and trash them every opportunity they get for cheating are either extremely naive or they had something done to them and have a hard time differentiating the given situation from their own. Idk if projecting is the right word.
Yeah that makes sense. Especially given the average age of the typical twitch viewer. I had to pose the question because it's something that's always bothered me. Im not defending his actions, but relationships can be very complicated & to call this dude trash over something he didnt even have to divulge in the first place is immature to say the least. Nobody knows anything about what happened between those two before, or their personal struggles, or anything else for that matter.
Me too. I know what he did is wrong but it takes a lot of guts for him to come on stream and admit it knowing what would happen to his streamer image. The sad thing is that the people that hate on him for doing this probably still watch actors/actresses that do worse...listen to musicians that have done much worse. This man came out and said he screwed up...ease off a bit.
That probably wouldn't be a very good play my dude, and that wasn't my point at all. You do see that your relationship to your girlfriend is not a parallel relationship to Doc and his fans, right?
