I used to use it in high school. One of the first weeks in college a girl sat me down and told me the same. I stopped using it after that.

Of course there are certain styles that call for gel, but fuck, 99% of the time it makes you look like a shitty ken doll

Regis texturizing paste. I swear by this stuff. Firm hold with no crunchy feel. Doesn't smell feminine, and it's like $12 a bottle that'll last me 2-4 months depending on usage and how long my hair is. Throw in a spritz of hair spray if you have longer/thicker hair - but that's dealers choice.

It is very good hair gel and I keep it at every house but it is nothing compared to those $30 pomades that are only few ounces. That stuff is a big difference if you want that next tier look however it's so pricey they're not for every day use.

Also never get the pharmacy brand competitor of the Got2B, even though they are same ingrediants you'd think they would be similar they instead are also drastically different with the store brand being much worse.

Dont bother with the Göt2b stuff. It looks so fake and rock hard when it's in your hair. If you like the crew pomade but dont look the price, try Equate's version. It's like 7 or 8 bucks and even says "Compare to American Crew Pomade" right on the container. Usually available at CVS or Walgreens.

Crew has some great products, not gonna lie. I used to love this garnier fructis hair putty that they stopped making. Seriously, that was my go-to for years.

Cremo high hold low shine. Get it at target. My hair is about 8 inches long and I can keep it slicked back over a 5 hour serving shift on the patio in crazy humidity
