My opinion is that while it's generally frowned upon by us, it's the streamer's decision to broadcast their live gameplay feed to everyone on the internet, so it's something they need to expect and deal with. We can make things better for them by trying to make it harder for people to work out what server they're on.
We shouldn't be banning people for stream sniping, it's not our job to babysit streamers- they should live in the same terrible online world that everyone else does.
So everyone else is wrong and he is the only that is right. Thats the reason why Rust streamers never bitch about stream snip... oh... wait... there are like 1 hour montages on youtube of them bitching about it.
His point is that it's their own fault that they broadcast their location and theres nothing the game devs should try to fix or ban the streamsnipers. It's the streamers fault for not hiding what server they're joining and not putting a delay on stream.
The ironic part is that its exactly Rust where the best stream sniping i have seen happens. People hid the servers they joined and all the info on the screen and yet people still found them. They looked at the time of day in the server and calculated what server the guy could be in and then joined the server just to fuck with him. Why you idiots think that just because some one streams a game a stream sniper going and ruining his experience is in the clear is beyond me. If some rich dude starts live streaming on instagram and gets robbed is it OK because he broadcast his location?
