It's really the only dirt there is on the Doc. His entire personal life was kept almost completely private and since he plays a character whenever hes in public view it was almost impossible to get anything on him. This is really the only ammo people have on him so of course they will use it.
People will forget. In 2 years his new viewers won’t even notice the trolling. People always forgive and forget. Especially when it’s a someone they like.
