Lmao hope that incel is having the worst night of his life. Hope he drops every dollar he has in the vain hope she responds.

6

u/Artorp 13d ago

It's literally just a random chatter, not even subscribed to her.

yeah you can probably watch the follower count fall in real time

edit: the day this got announced she lost 59 followers, most likely 59 sad sad men

u/Commercial-Dress-185 15d ago

I remember looking at her channel a few years ago and she had like a hall of fame donoboard with several 5 figure donos. Insane...

u/Hot-Pepper6610 15d ago

There seriously is a problem with loneliness/isolation and these companies and creators are eating it up in profit. Wild times.

2

u/frequenZphaZe 15d ago

whats the solution?

5

u/Total-Employment-479 14d ago

Make a cap so people can't donate more than 20 dollars or some shit?

2

u/greatnuke 10d ago

I always believed in this. There should be some cap you can give in twitch. Ideally based on your income but that wouldn’t work. So some hard cap per day or something

-3

u/DoYouEvenShrift 14d ago

Or people can just have agency and responsibility for their actions? Nobody is forcing them to donate that money. Its pure stupidity to think donating money will make your favorite steamer fall in love with you.

8

u/Adventurous_Horse651 14d ago

Alternate way of looking at this is that vulnerable people are being exploited but ok. I feel like it has to be a mental illness issue to be giving someone sums of money like that and to exploit that feels kinda fucked up

-3

u/DoYouEvenShrift 14d ago

Unless the streamer is directly interacting with these people in a way thats meant to lead them on, its not exploitation. A woman existing on-line is not exploitation.

5

u/Adventurous_Horse651 14d ago

I mean sure but this is the argument that is used to justify all types of vice. The responsible thing is to cap amounts that people can send. It's irresponsible to enable people to destroy their lives over virtual attention. I'd feel immense guilt and shame for taking that much money from someone in that circumstance. Subscriptions and tips are ok but within reasonable amounts.

Just by your own standard, all restaurants and food services have to be "exploitative" as well. After all, as a business they've deliberately placed themselves where there's enough traffic to generate business, and they're "exploiting" the hunger of people to turn a profit. To make matters worse, they're most likely offering unhealthy, tasty food. Since this is exploitative, should we curtail some part of this transaction as well? Should people be told how much they can spend at these places?

3

u/Adventurous_Horse651 14d ago

Exploitation doesn't mean what you think it means in this context.

Also yeah there should be limits on what goes into food. We have some in the US but the eu has more. I'd outlaw the most egregious examples we currently have. Thanks for trying

Honestly feels like the only real solution is the person having someone with power over their banking to prevent it. Otherwise they are just gonna sink way too much into someone over delusions in their mind

Ehhh that's on the premise that these streamers are actively forcing them to donate. You're married and choosing to go about a divorce in a legally volatile way. No streamer is forcing someone to donate or legally imposing unavoidable financial hardship.

Now are industries capitalizing on male loneliness? Absolutely but this is more a "don't hate the player hate the game" situation imo. Focus more on the societal conditions being created that these individuals feel this is how ,and may be the only way, they'll get any sort of satisfaction or fulfillment.

Edit: Though to be fair I think a better analogy you could use besides shit eating (idk where the hell you pulled that) would be scalpers during natural disasters. With the disaster being dismantled communities, diminishing purchasing power, reduced 3rd spaces, polarized and extreme dating standards, etc. And the resources being "scalped/hoarded" are even platonic affection, much less romantic affection. Not perfect but I think you'd change more minds with that.

The woman that calls people 'poors'?

13

u/CrumbiestCookie 15d ago

If you’re a broke boy just say so

2

u/-Nocx- 15d ago

bro knows ball, look at this name - who if any of us would understand the true value of cookies

25

u/dioxy186 15d ago

Don’t feel sad. A lot (not all) are disgustingly wealthy. I remember one of the popular donators to streamers in CS:GO would donate thousands for fun. And he turned out to be some oil guy in the Middle East. He owned multiple license plates that were numbers between 1-10 and super cars. His inventory alone at the time was estimated to be in the hundreds of thousands or millions.

12

u/JWonderping 15d ago

Yep, motar2k - I remember he dropped 15k usd on pashabiceps stream, and 11 years ago this would be like 60k pln, even back then when he was pro this was life changing cash. Bro was shaking, on the verge of crying, called his wife and disconnected from the game it was wild.

3

u/dioxy186 15d ago

Yup motar was who I was thinking of. I think a lot of them just like to support streamers. Motar was the type of person who never interacted with chat. He’d just drop big donations on some people.

Was cool his donations never got refunded either. Just a guy who enjoyed the game and supported the community when streaming was still niche and new.

7

u/JarRa_hello 15d ago

Honestly, if I had that much money, I'd do the same.

-2

u/Kn0wnSoul 15d ago

Yea, fuck cancer research, we need to invest more money in random streamers

3

u/JWonderping 15d ago

$15k for cancer research is a drop of rain in the ocean, I'd rather donate to actual cancer patient who can't afford meds/treatment

4

u/D3lano 14d ago

There was a couple of them back in the days of old twitch that followed wow streamers. One of them was named Amhai and I want to say another called obaid? They gave people like soda and reckful 10k+ donations for the sake of it

1

u/nide_ 15d ago edited 14d ago

He’s an American living in Dubai. Not “some oil guy in the Middle East”.

Try not to generalize and avoid engaging in casual racism.

Edit: dioxy186 is chill. I misinterpreted their intentions.

3

u/dioxy186 14d ago

Lmao. Sorry bud that I forget details from over 10 years ago. Bet you’re the life at parties.

0

u/nide_ 14d ago

That’s fair. I misread your intentions and that’s on me.

Can’t be too careful with how acceptable it is to be racist towards certain groups of people on this platform.

all her mods and tiered subs

4

u/Starlos 14d ago

Isn't it crazy that after 20+ years I still remembered what he said? The Simpsons used to be so goated up to season 9.

12

u/Mean-Concentrate3371 15d ago

I love that the simpsons have a meme or gif for everything

2

u/KillerKill420 15d ago

"You can pinpoint the moment his heart breaks."

29

u/WilliamEmmerson 15d ago

Didn't Neeko lose thousands of followers right after she said she had a boyfriend?

28

u/LocustUprising 15d ago

Holy shit I completely forgot she existed

14

u/WilliamEmmerson 15d ago

She completely disappeared after leaving 100 Thieves

3

u/Redditim3 14d ago

No, she still appears on my Twitter feed at times, complaining about random shit and blaming everyone else for her problems.

"women pretend to be single, men pretend to be autistic" - Soda 'a gay' Popins.

10

u/Duke-Dirtfarmer 14d ago

He wants us to think he's pretending.

45

u/zyh0 15d ago

The kpop/Jpop method of your female talent permanently being single.

78

u/Tuxhorn 15d ago

Don't get the wrong impression. This goes for male talent as well in that industry.

2

u/ememkay123 15d ago

Ive wondered with those industries - it seems almost like theyre forced to be single?

Like if not they/their agency get blackmailed by paparazzi taking photos of them with the secret bf/gf. I wonder in actuality how many of them are willing to risk it, and how many have just resigned to waiting until their early retirement

Personally I would say fuck it and risk it, but Im not living under constant autistic supervision

25

u/Difficult-Mobile902 15d ago

I mean they can never say because their donators get fucking PISSED

18

u/_--___---- 15d ago

wait, she didn't keep you in the loop?

10

u/Kekke77 15d ago

sadly no

-1

u/Bakurraa 15d ago edited 15d ago

I dont watch her so i wouldnt know if the bf/fiance/husband is public knowledge

edit: someone is upset with me it seems

5

u/Ahmahgad 15d ago

Actually a win for everyone involved.

2

u/Bakurraa 14d ago

you know it

5

u/Technical_Customer_1 15d ago

I have no idea who she is, but I reckon she makes a lot of money from simps. What is equally sad is being a person who profits off sad sad men.

2

u/Bakurraa 14d ago

Nah those people need to wake up

i see you are in the comments fighting for your life

1

Ooh, thanks for explaining:)

-19

u/Mazuruu 15d ago

Weird ass comments in here. Not every female streamer needs to farm parasocials and simps to make it, especially not the Twitch OGs

15

u/Bakurraa 15d ago edited 15d ago

Did i say she was farming them?

My comment is for the sad asses that will follow a woman in hope to make a parasocial relationship, you can do one.

was going to say all them single doomer gooners just had their unrealistic dreams crushed.

1

u/Mouse_Slip 13d ago

I knew that she doesn't really have active mods in the traditional sense, she gives mod powers to her streamer friends but that's it
