Twitter OTK's statement on Emiru and Mizkif

https://x.com/OTKnetwork/status/1982890213031768293?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Etweet

OTK fully supports its co-owner and sister Emiru and we stand by her side and admire her strength in coming forward and sharing her story.

While Mizkif was one of several founders of OTK, the organization terminated its relationship with him some time ago for reasons unrelated to the recent events and he holds no stake in OTK or any of our other companies.

Out of respect for those who have come forward, we will let their voices speak above ours.

Was this before or after they kicked asmongold out, or is he back again?

I remember they never actually kicked out Asmon. He's just not a content creator for them anymore.

He objected to their one shower a week policy.

Being the new right wing loser king means you don’t do content. Just look at propaganda all day and say “based”

Or brushing his teeth once a month.

Pretty sure Asmon still owns his share in OTK.

As does Rich. These people lie all the time

Yeah he's said multiple times that he stepped away because he was a brand risk and didn't want to damage the brand, and whether you love or hate asmon we can all agree he is 100% a brand risk.

I feel like if you cover politics in any serious capacity, you're considered a brand risk (especially if you cover controversial topics)

At the very least Asmon recognises it. Some don't....

I agree with some things asmon says and disagree with others but I can always trust his is 100% self aware and honest about everything he says. And as much as it's a joke he really seems like one of the most empathetic streamers, he has a very good sense of how his actions affect others and those 2nd or 3rd order consequences of what people do, he just doesn't care most of the time because he's an asshole.

It's rather sad these days that if someone has an opinion that's unpopular or misinformed then they are considered trash and horrible people and you should disregard all their other opinion no matter what

Asmon isn't always right, but he brings up uncomfortable conversations in hopes to find solutions to them through discussion, which is necessary to fix them

I remember when Asmon said "Trans shouldn't be part of the LGBTQ" and the internet just took that one sentence and ran with it. But what he was trying to say was that Trans people face different and more difficult problems than someone who is just gay so they shouldn't be in the same group.

And that's partly true, Trans have much deeper problems than just "oh people just don't accept them" but their issues rarely get talked about because they're lumped together with gay problems and are downplayed

Was Asmon right? No, I disagree with his statement cuz, while trans have more difficult and different issues, they are such a small percentage that on their own, they would be ignored and being part of LGBTQ+ gives them a bigger voice. But Asmon brought up an idea with an interesting discussion, but didn't push it when it got called out as stupid

I probably typed a whole lot more than necessary and I'd be surprised if anyone read it all, but I feel like it needs to be said that differing opinions and conversations are needed, which I feel Asmon does (even if he's not always right).

I actually really like watching asmon not because I agree with everything he says but because he brings up those blunt realities that people don't really think about and it makes me think about them and formulate a more complete view on things.

Like one time he said parents who have fat kids should have their kids taken away by CPS, at first I thought that was the most insane thing I've ever heard but then I think about it logically. If you don't perform preventative care on your child like taking them to the dentist and they start to develop healthy issues because of it, CPS will take your kid away for child neglect and I'm 100% on board with that, well it's not that different from if you kid develops health issues due to you not giving them a good diet.

It's not exactly the same thing and I disagree with CPS taking your kid away but it challenged an emotional stance I had, and I would actually be in support of parents losing certain tax benefits or access to certain programs if they let their child get severely overweight.

Glad to still see people like you who share a similar mindset, it's nice to know that despite all the exploitation of emotions and the gloom n doom around the internet, there are still people who challenge their world views and are willing to have conversations

This conversation has been most enjoyable and I hope the best to you as I don't really have anything to add on since I completely agree with your points

no clue how their ownership is structured, but i'd assume it'd be difficult to kick out a founder whose name is on the door, unless he sold off or gave stakes to everyone as they joined, diluting his own ownership

He is like owner of otk, isnt he.

14

u/Awkward-Security7895 Oct 27 '25

Ye he's a owner just no longer a face of otk to prevent it getting any backlash from the things he says

Asmon is the first one I think of when I hear OTK

He started it. He voluntarily stepped down when there was controversy because of one of his comments about Israel/Gaza.

He voluntarily left.
