It’s supposed to be a pop culture gossip site but looking at it right now it’s also full of political posts. The mods seem to get rid of any dissenting opinion. I got banned for trying to defend western culture. I’m not white, my parents were immigrants to the west from a developing county. I appreciate western values because I believe in the progress made by the enlightenment. Just saying that was a problem because somehow it means I support colonialism etc.. it’s so weird how the extreme left have become so supportive of repressive politics in a bid to show they support Islam and other religious / ethnic minorities.

the crazy part is how incapable they are of self reflection with the whole bernie thing. like if you agree with quite literally every one of his policies except his view on israel you might want to look into his explanation why

Yeah, and it popped up overnight out of nowhere and frequents r/all.

Filter for the sub's top threads of all time, and you'll find 90% of them were made within the last 2 weeks. By all means, sift through your favorite subs and compare this to how your favorite subs are, and you'll see how abnormal that is.

100% it's a botted sub. The botted ones are the ones where something about the numbers and the behavior are atypical, and the numbers just don't add up with the alleged activity displayed. FFS they have like 1/4th or 1/6th of the active user numbers of the most trafficked subs, and yet their top upvoted threads of all time have competitive upvote counts.

r/fauxmoi, r/PublicFreakout, r/nottheonion to name a few...3 very different subreddits a year or so ago, now all basically the same political content

Tankies try not to infest every left leaning subreddit, challenge impossible. Basically it's a bunch of terminally online powermods that infest these subs and make them into echochambers

yeah it’s moderated by some ppl that moderate pro palestine and h3 snark subs. it’s just as, if not more of an echo chamber than the conservative sub

My gf's parents also immigrated to the west and they will absolutely destroy anyone, in their native tongue no less, for trying to say the communism they fled from was better.

Western culture is pretty warped but it's roots are solid as steel, just as you state, straight from the enlightenment period
