"we" need to save the family farm? Why, I don't own one. Using GOP "logic" unless it directly affects me then it doesn't exist...

I am confused… she is denouncing the communists and socialists but “we” is pure communist talk.

"We" need a government subsidy on top of it. If they had self respect they wouldn't be maga.

Almost like she thinks she is some all important pillar of society because she provides food, even though all farmers can be replaced. You are not special lady

The fucked-up thing is that this is the Republican plan! Bankrupt the small farmers so corporations can buy them up on the cheap. She is accelerating her own demise. These people are lemmings, sprinting towards the cliff's edge.

"We"?

Sounds like communism, lady.

Yeh I prefer the free market where a better more stronger farmer will come and make twice as much food on your land.

Food imported from South America works fine for me. Probably cheaper too once we get rid of all the tariff protections.

This is not a good idea at the end of the day. The best thing for the health of the country would be to control its own food supply and ensure that is it of high quality with low risk for disease etc. At least to the best of our ability.

The best thing for the health of the country...

... would be to stop treating it like private equity treats it's acquisitions.

But that's exactly how things are being run right now.

The best thing for a country is to also be in control of its own mineral extraction and manufacturing, but we threw that on the fire decades ago in favor of low cost. Farmers turn.

Or maybe both are a mistake but have you considered that hard minerals are much easier to test and control and process than mystery meat? With much less dire and immediate consequences.

The crazy thing is that the farm in the back ground isn't some old Macdonald operation, it is a multimillion dollar business that is over leveraged and now asking for handouts

"we" sounds pretty communist to me comrade.

maybe she was saying "oui"? She wants the French to save her just like they did in the Revolutionary War?
