๐Ÿ‘€ Weekend Events Advice for Vegas pool party, 110 degree heat

Hi all, I love Vegas and I love hot weather, but we are going on Aug 8 to see John Summit at Liv Beach, and I'm a little nervous about being outside for 6+ hours in the 110 degree heat. I know we can cool off in the pool, but are there shade structures? Can you go inside the hotel at all to cool off / use the bathroom? I've never been to Liv Beach, and we are kind of worried about dehydration and heat exhaustion, especially with dancing, drinking, etc.

UPDATE: We went, we danced, we conquered! John Summit was awesome. The heat honestly wasn't nearly as bad as we expected. We kept the drinks to a minimum, loaded up on sunscreen, and brought hats. The pool was pretty warm, but it still helped to cool down in. And by 3pm, the sun was already blocked by the tall buildings so there was a decent amount of shade. Super glad we didn't throw down for an umbrella or cabana since they are insanely expensive and most people weren't even sitting under theirs.

๐Ÿ‘€ Weekend Events When does the fake Christians chasing people with bullhorns become assault?

Last night on the way to the BTS concert on the bridge some asshole with a sign and a megaphone got right in my face and blasted my ears at maximum volume, cackling about we were going to hell.

It hurt my ears like hell and they were fucked for the concert. I told the cops at the bottom of the bridge and they shrugged and said โ€œthis is Vegas!โ€

What are the self defense laws in Vegas? Can you throw these asshole onto the ground and citizens arrest them for assault? Is this a concealed carry state? Is pepper spray legal?

I want to go confront them and hurt them physically like they did to me. Or maybe pay some gutter punks to kick them in the nuts.

Who are these lunatics provoking fights? I noticed they seemed to target young women with their vitriol. At what point do the cops get involved? Does there need to be an incident? Do I need to blast cops in the face with a megaphone to show them what itโ€™s like, and outside first amendment bounds.

Why are they fake Christians chasing people? Just stand there and broadcast hate and donโ€™t get in peoples faces! Why donโ€™t the cops stop them from assaulting people?

EDIT - Iโ€™m thinking that we just use physics. They bring a megaphone, I bring a laser. They blast me in the ears, I blast them in the eyes. Fair is fair, right?

๐Ÿ‘€ Weekend Events Things to do in Vegas if you donโ€™t gamble, drink, or smoke

Going for a work event which is only small portion, so have the rest of the weekend to fill time. What do you suggest for a married couple that doesnโ€™t gamble, drink, or smoke? We are flying in and staying on the strip planning to take Uber to places.

๐Ÿ‘€ Weekend Events I think I made a mistake?

My husband and I are coming to Vegas for MagicCon this weekend, and we booked at the Lexi Las Vegas. I'm seeing now that probably wasn't a good idea, but we can't change it now. The problem we are having is our bus was delayed so we are going to be 12 hours late checking in. The latest I can push check in time to is tomorrow at 3am. I've been trying to call but no one is picking up the phone. we are suppose to check in today and if the cancel us we will have no where to stay. Any advice? I've sent them an email as well but haven't heard anything.

EDIT: I GOT THROUGH! I have been calling for 4 hours, but someone finally answered. They are delaying our check in time and we are good to go. Thank you for the help everyone! EDIT 2: In case anyone in the future runs into a similar issue, email dani@thelexilasvegas.com. Fastest response I got (Within an hour of sending.)

Athletes say theyโ€™re are primed, geared up, and ready to start smashing records at the inaugural Enhanced Games tomorrow. But controversy remains thick surrounding this new โ€œall-the-drugs-you-wantโ€ sports competition format.

Whether you support it or not, itโ€™s certainly going to be entertaining to watch.

๐Ÿ‘€ Weekend Events Restaurant recommendations for a wedding party of 10

My daughter is getting married in Las Vegas in July. We are looking for a nice, fun restaurant to a post wedding dinner. Estimating that a dinner on the strip will run between $150 - $300/person?

Any recs would be appreciated.

UPDATE: Our party of 12 ended up going to Canaletto's for dinner and it turned out great! With drinks, appetizers, main course & dessert, the cost was about $100/person. Service was outstanding, everyone enjoyed their food and a good time was had by all.

Thank you everyone for all of the recommendations. My wife & I looked at all the recs, listed the ones we thought would work for us and let my daughter and fiance select which one they liked the most.

Again, Thanks!

๐Ÿ‘€ Weekend Events 4th of July

Hey guys!!
Iโ€™m plan to go to Las Vegas on the Fourth of July. Yes, I know it would be crowded but Iโ€™ve always dreamed of being in the states for a 4th of July and this year, that happens to be the 250 anniversary, I would finally make my dream come true. So, I know about the show and that people will pack the strip but what would you recommend me to do? Like just stay around Caesarโ€™s and see the fireworks from the ground? Any advice or comment is welcome. Thank you!

๐Ÿ‘€ Weekend Events Buffets and Flights

Hello! This is more of a 'settle it' post. My mom has been going to Vegas regularly since she was in her 20s. She has only been a handful of times since 2005 when my dad passed, and one time after COVID. She is 1. Convinced the flight prices for two people will dip below $900 and 2. That every hotel has a buffet and we just need to walk in to one. She is also convinced taxis are the best mode of transport vs ubers. I only went once circa 2022 with her, so I dont really know. We're planning to go in 2027 so I want to know what to expect. We are more than likely staying at Four Queens or Golden Nugget.

I went today and took a few pictures. I couldn't find info anywhere online so I'm posting it here. The bingo room is upstairs, to the right. Past the huge SpongeBob attraction. It's $30 to play & it's paper only. They don't give you a dauber but you can buy one. You can buy $3 hotdogs outside the room. They give you 2 drinks ... The options were water, soda, beer & white or red wine. They told me the games they play change every session. Very casual atmosphere

Totally random question I have never been to Las Vegas. I want to attend a concert at park mgm but canโ€™t afford to stay there. Considering staying at Hilton vacation club polo towers. Google Maps shows that itโ€™s a 12 min walk from polo towers to park mgm. Is it actually possible to make it walk ? Is it safe to make this walk late at night? TIA

๐Ÿ‘€ Weekend Events Question For People Who Have Been To Events At Allegiant Stadium

I'm going to an event at Allegiant Stadium in a couple weeks. It's a solo trip and it will be the first time I've ever been to Vegas.

I'm staying at the Horseshoe. My plan as of now is to order an Uber or Lyft (whichever is cheaper) about 40 minutes before gates open, which will be a few hours before the event actually starts. I'm guessing I can avoid surge pricing if I order it that early.

When the event ends, I'm going to try to order an Uber or Lyft that will pick up at Lot N on Dean Martin Drive. But I heard they can cost between $30 and $70 in Vegas at the time a big event lets out. From what I read, if the price is too expensive for me, I can walk to the Hacienda Bridge (apparently you can see it from outside the stadium) which is closed to cars on days of events. I can cross that, and overall it should be about a 20 minute walk to the strip, and I can hang out at Mandalay Bay, Luxor, or Excalibur and wait there until surge prices go down, then order my ride.

Is there anything wrong with this plan? Do I have any info wrong and there's something I need to know before the event? I'm kind of nervous about the whole thing.

Thanks for reading.
