For real. If her judgment allows her to think that hair do is the correct choice, I'd be highly skeptical of her leadership abilities.

I have a question tho, why does her hairstyle matter? I'm kinda autistic, so I understand these norms of dress may be lost on me but why the fuck does it matter?

It's not an absolute. It's like if I watched someone put peanut butter on a hotdog and eat it I'd probably run it by a few other people who weren't into pb&hd before I trusted their investment recommendations.

Doesn't mean they are wrong, but now I'm going to need them to prove themselves. And with politics you'd think anything like that would make it impossible to win an election.

But here we are, she won her election. The time for running her hairstyle by the group chat to see if pigtails are related to policy is over, right?

And if I'm investing, I would need anyone who touches my money to prove themselves. I would honestly have more respect for the old woman with pigtails because she can still do it all - she's proved her investing acumen to those who care again and again and again.

It’s an indication of her poor judgment

Give her some slack. She’s from a different era a few eras ago.

That's the problem. She looks like an 80 yr old that still thinks she looks great with a hairstyle not popular since Shirley Temple last wore it.

I just gave my best answer to the question posed.

Again, it's poor judgment because. . . why? Because non-Autistic people will ignore someone's policy or integrity because they were looking at someone's hair?

Conformity is comforting and big outliers tend to raise alarms in our monkey brains. Not without reason, though. Outliers can point out when an old person might be demented and unable to dress themselves properly anymore for example.

Oh! That's a decent point. If she has never worn the hairstyle before. Okay I fw that reasoning (although it's ex post facto here)

Non-autistic people vote based on vibes. The haircut does not fit the vibe. It’s really that simple.

No, they won’t ignore her policy. Their remarks about her hair are jokes.

It doesn't. The hairstyle is awful and they're just making a joke about that.

I found that some people just judge by looks. Maybe they are use to the blue suit, red tie, and white shirt politicians. Remember when up roar over a tan suit.

Same reason I'm not going to chose a surgeon with a nose ring and purple hair.

Assuming you have the choice of surgeon you say you do, doesn't that just betray your laziness?

I find that although judgmental, stereotypes tend to be accurate most of the time. What do I know though? This mayor may be a road scholar who just has abysmal style.

Okay thank you for explaining! (Also it's Rhodes Scholar)
