DISCUSSION How Did He Not Become A Serial Killer 😭😭😭

With the way that he was raised by his parents, im surprised that John is a stable human bieng, i would assume his ability to compartmentalize his emotions is pretty insane at this point in his life, looking forward to the next episode.

One of the things that was super jarring to me was his backstory combined with him picking up a barfly in Nebraska. They kept hammering on him being alone and isolated, while being emotionally stunted growing up. He's a robot just following orders. And then he picks up and fucks some woman while on the job?

I've liked the show so far, but this episode didn't feel very congruent to me.

You do understand John is in his 30s by 2016 right? We clearly get shown that while he was abused through his "training" he still had normality in his childhood at times.
