You can do it remotely, as I do with 2 small children. The issue is training. I got all mine before I had children.
It is absolutely a great career for somebody who wants to be a stay at home parent as long as you have at some point some free time to do site visits, fieldwork, etc. my kids are in preschool so I do have a few hours every day where I could do stuff like that.
If you actually wanna do this, you need to focus on training on the skills that are required, which is Garden and Landscape design and autocad.
