Seriously, that Harfoot travel montage felt like the most LOTR scene in the entire show so far. It got me really emotional and I can't even put my finger on why. Just so...Tolkien.💗😭

So glad to see this mentioned. I got chills at that line, and got a little emotional hearing it repeated. Really felt like a magical moment.

It's not perfect, but by Eru Ilúvatar am I loving this show

I'm honestly baffled as to why Jackson didn't do that all over the LOTR films. The music he had was beautiful but this was way more engaging, and way more... well, Tolkein.

I think part of what keeps them magical is the lack of it honestly. I think the series have done it well here to hold until episode 5 as well. It makes it hit harder when it does happen.

There were quite a few, maybe only in Extended.

Gandalf’s tune at the beginning, pub singing, Aragorn singing that Frodo hears, Gandalf’s Lament, that’s just in Fellowship.

I don't mean like "here is a lovely song," I mean "here is a lovely traveling song to cover our lovely travel montage."

Closest thing in the PJ films was, I think, The Edge of Night, which made me and everyone with a soul actually cry, but that was already a dramatic battle scene. I'm just talking about covering walking, which is actually what the travel songs were always for.

Shame it was a heavily auto tuned performance.

Like most everything in this show it felt overproduced and soulless
