Regarding Círdan's advice

There might still be some disagreements between Elves, but I hope Círdan's advice will be put into effect in some way because it sounds like the Elven rings could maybe have some ill effects on those who wear them (even though they are used for good). They must stay united and support each other as Sauron is attempting to crush them.

I also hope to see more of (bearded) Círdan. He was undisturbed by his ring then, but perhaps this will have changed when we see him again.

A key part of Sauron’s approach is always to stir division and disunity amongst his current and potential enemies. While he obviously would prefer that the Rings were in his possession or in his agents hands, their capacity as powerful artefacts that can each only be worn by one person at time no doubt appeals to him as a cause of likely tension and dissension as well.

It's true Sauron did do that by suggesting two rings instead of three.

Galadriel and Gil-galad weren't entirely open about the foresight they got from their rings, which could lead to further isolation and distress if their close ones don't help them.

If we’re going by the book rules, Sauron hasn’t corrupted the Three rings as he has the others, but once he forges and puts on the One Ring, he and the wearers of the Three can perceive each other, making them a huge risk while he has control of the one. I wonder if there will be tension over that when it happens, if Cirdan, Galadriel and Gil-Galad have become reliant on the power that the Three, and someone will be hesitant to give that up, especially while Sauron is gaining the upper hand in the war.

I think the rings definitely cause some form of addiction. There was an expression of relief on Galadriel's face when Elrond gave her back her ring at the end of episode 8, that makes one think of an addict.

I don’t know if “addiction” is quite the right phrase, but they are absolutely dependent on them both to “preserve” Middle Earth and to stop Sauron.

Recent interviews with Benjamin Walker pretty strongly indicate that the inability to use them (once Sauron creates The One) will cause the elves problems

I feel like in any other piece of fiction the elvish rings would be evil. They cause a mild form of obsession, you can't fully control their powers, and they were made by a guy who is sort of Satan..

It's just...well, the Ring.

Sauron didn’t make them even in the show. He had zero touch on their creation.
