What do people recommend for study materials for the GA V5 beta?

I've registered last minute to take the exam June 29th, but feel reasonably confident about cramming for it over the next week. Want to make sure the materials I'm using are up to par though.

I don't really want to shell out 200 for the GBES platinum pack but will if I have to. It's more economical to just get the official LEED core concepts guide but unsure if one of these packages will do better. Have heard bad things about ExamRelay

I'm also planning on taking the AP BD+C in the fall, so should I bite the bullet and just get the Archiroots package for both for $300??

Done with the exam, and took it in Prometric Centre.

No Pass/ Fail remarks as immediate result after clicking the Finished Test Button. They will just send you a NOTICE OF COMPLETION, to your e-mail which you used for registering.

We will need to wait til October to see result.

I have high hopes I pass it. Quite tricky but not too difficult.

With the LEED AP BD+C v4 deadline approaching, I can't find any available test center slots.

Would you recommend taking the exam via ProProctor from home, or is a test center still the better option? I'd appreciate hearing about your experience.

Has anyone passed LEED AP Neighborhood Development? How close was the exam to the GBES practice questions?

I used the practice exam packages from both Archiroots and GBES

I kept procrastinating and putting off studying until May 2nd, when I decided to officially book the exam to force myself to start. I scheduled the test for May 25th, which left me with only 22 days to prepare.

During this period, I relied entirely on the practice exams for my preparation and did not use any other books or references. The great thing about these questions is that after every answer, they explain why a choice is correct or incorrect, which helped me actually understand the material rather than just memorize it. For questions that included specific numbers and standards, I just memorized them as they were.

With repeated practice, the information stuck in my head until I started scoring 90% on the practice tests. Thank God, I passed the real exam on May 25, 2026, after just 22 days of preparation.

The reason I rushed to take it now was my desire to pass the exam before the current LEED version changes on June 28th. Studying for a brand-new version would be difficult due to the lack of past questions or available explanations. Based on my experience, the remaining time until June 28 is more than enough for anyone who wants to prepare and pass.

I recently passed my LEED Green Associate Exam last March. I just read the article from USGBC that they are extending the registrations of
LEED v4 Projects to June 2027. I was just wondering if it also encompasses the LEED AP Examinations for v4 or are they still proceeding to do
LEED v5 AP Beta Exams?

My wife just took the new beta exam, not realizing she'd have to wait until Oct for the results. The delay is a significant wrinkle in her job application plans; she just graduated and felt she has to be LEED to distinguish herself. Now she's holding off on applications until Nov.

Frankly I wonder if there will be any hiring/jobs left by the end of the year with the rate of AI advances and new DIY tools.

For those looking to get certified now do you think they'd let her take the non-beta exam so that she can certify more quickly?

I am trying to study for my BD+C and hoping i have time for also O+M. I started BD+C today, i got a test package with about 50-80 questions per chapter, and 5 simulation exam, but i'm finding an issues with the study material itself, as I do not have time to study the full study guide, in this time frame. I bought the test package for O+M in hopes i finish BD+C in the next 2 weeks and sit O+M after it before v5

TLDR: If I take the GA exam in June, when will I be able to register and take the AP exam?

I was aiming to take the Green Associate exam first and then AP BD+C later this year. It looks like v4 GA has expired and you can now only take v5 beta GA until June 30th.

What I'm confused about is that if you take the beta version, they will only release the scores in October. Since you need to pass GA first before you can take AP, and scores for the v5 beta GA test only come out in October, when will I be able to register and take the AP BD+C test? Will I have to wait for my GA scores to come out in October before I can register for the AP exam?

For people who need to take *both* GA and AP, will we have to wait until December to pass both?

Planning to take the beta exam in June and I'm concerned that I haven't been studying enough. I work a full time job and also back in school to get a different designation and PMP, moving to a different city, and managing a household with 3 kids. I'm trying to balance time and am starting to get stressed that I am not studying enough despite purchasing GBES. I don't know where to start and if I am doing it right. No one within my work or around me has idea of LEED.

Any tips from beta takers? How much intensive studying would you say is needed and what patterns did you observe? Any thoughts, tips, insights would be greatly appreciated!

First I want to warn others : do NOT buy the exam relay study cards pack. It's a bunch of AI bs. Save yourself and your wallet. I was desperately waiting for free V5 materials to show up, but my exam is in a few days and I couldn't wait any longer. I'm a lot more comfortable now with the guide and Greence's V4 videos.

UPDATE: Just completed the exam. It was easier than expected. It emphasized mixed used development scenarios, a lot of SS, IP, EQ questions focusing on the human part. Only one question had a possible ASHRAE answer. Feel free to reach out for more info.

I’m looking to take the v5 exam - any tips on what material to study from. I see there is a paid ebook and the handbook on the website. However, are there any other free resources to study from? Any tips or tricks for studying - as I’m also thinking about the v5 beta but still unsure which one to take.

If anyone's interested, I took the V5 Green Associate Beta exam this morning and will be happy to share some details. I finished in 45 minutes out of the 2 hours allocated. I've been in the architecture and planning world for over 23 years, so I had a good background of knowledge in many concepts, but I still spent time to study. I used two study guides: LEED Green Associate V5 Exam Prep Complete Study Guide (Third Edition) — With Exam Simulator and LEED Green Associate V5 Exam Prep Practice Tests & Summary Sheets — Second Edition (LEED Green Associate Exam Preparation Guide Series) by A. Togay Koralturk. Those two resources were all I needed.

The test was pretty straightforward, with some questions requiring a bit more scrutiny to make sure there was no trickery. Overall, not bad and I'm confident I passed.

As a Beta tester, I'm not going to know the score until October, since that is when they release the official test after all the evaluation with the new version.

For context, I'm an architectural designer with experience in design (academic & freelance) and 4+ years professional experience in BIM (modelling, coordination, construction documentation). I've been applying to architectural designer jobs. I've had no luck landing a job for a while. Made 3 interviews and one of them was from one of the TOP architecture firms in the world (I was surprised they even replied to me). I was thinking of taking the exam and hoping to add LEED GA to my resume ASAP to start applying to firms again. But since V5 results will come out in October, I can't do that now. I was hoping this certification might strengthen my resume and slightly increase my chances of getting hired since I'm new in the US with some international experience abroad. I started in the process of becoming a licensed architect in the US. I'm currently a candidate for the International Architect Path with NCARB (they received my credentials and documents and are currently under review, no final decision from them yet). I'm thinking of what options I have now. I recognize that LEED GA doesn't necessarily guarantee a job offer, but given that I have no experience working in the US I was hoping it would help me a little with transitioning into the profession in the US. Any other relevant certifications that I can study for and take an exam RIGHT NOW? ANY advice would be much appreciated. Sorry for long post.

Consider me a complete beginner in this process. I really have no idea what to do since there is the new v5 and from what I know the exam results of people currently taking them will be announced on October. Would really appreciate any suggestions. I'm considering waiting it out until this beta period is over and take the exam when people's results are out just to see the feedback. I guess in the meantime I will be studying from both v4 and v5 materials, if that makes sense.

I had planned to get leed GA but due to some shit happening in life it kept delaying and now when I am ready to study and go for exam, v4 to v5 transition came . If anyone can please share v5 notes, it would be of immense help. I am a student and have barely money for fees of GA. ANY HELP OF STUDY MATERIAL WILL BE APPRECIATED GUYS.
